@Valentina.Anitnelav: how it can be

⟨ subject ⟩ copyright status (P6216) View with SQID ⟨ public domain (Q19652)  View with Reasonator View with SQID ⟩

in USA after 95 years when it was firstly published in 1925? May be it will be in PD in 2020? --Infovarius (talk) 08:50, 17 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Infovarius: I didn't set the claim, it was set by JarektBot (https://www.wikidata.org/w/index.php?title=Q19001&diff=954899497&oldid=945739873). I just changed the publication date (P577) (according to my sources). I didn't think of checking for any other claim depending on it (like copyright status (P6216)). I try to remember next time. - Valentina.Anitnelav (talk) 10:18, 17 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Apparently the claim
⟨ subject ⟩ copyright status (P6216) View with SQID ⟨ public domain (Q19652)  View with Reasonator View with SQID ⟩
was already wrong, before: according to en:Public domain film films are copyrighted for 95 years, so a film made in 1924 would actually be copyrighted till the end of 2019 and enters the public domain only in 2020, a film made in 1925 in 2021, etc. I pointed out this issue at Jarekts talk page. - Valentina.Anitnelav (talk) 10:34, 17 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
