Wikisource[edit]

Wikidata seems to be live for us! \o/. I've just added all iw links except for some languages that I'm unable to deduce if the page is a list of translations or just one specific translation ([[ar:الكتاب المقدس]] [[he:ביבליה]] [[ml:ബൈബിള്‍]] [[tr:İncil]] [[ta:திருவிவிலியம்]] [[zh-min-nan:Sèng-keng (Kong-hōe)]]. I also didn't managed on how to add links to oldwikisource:Bible. Lugusto (talk) 00:54, 15 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

oldWikisource isn't supported yet. I've just opened a bug about it. Tpt (talk) 07:21, 15 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
s:pl:Biblia Gdańska and s:pl:Biblia Wujka are specific translations of Bible. As I see, some interwiki links you removed from s:pl:Biblia Gdańska points also to specific translations and IMO they should be restored (or is there another way for handling interwiki links to specific versions, eg. for use in doublewiki?). Ankry (talk) 07:59, 15 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Restore them! You have to create separate items for Biblia Gdanska and Biblia Wujka. They are supposed to link through properties to this item. -- Lavallen (talk) 09:54, 15 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Characters[edit]

The use of characters (P674) somehow got out of control. As for now, this item has 130 statements and counting. They include people mentioned indirectly in a single verse, sometimes even without providing his/her name or sex. They also include pairs and groups, daemons and angels, personalized mystical visions or allegories. The item page is loading 5 min or more and it is technically virtually impossible for me to make any changes to the item. I made some proposal at the property talk page, but it seems that nobody reads the talk pages. If somebody reads this, please give me at least some feedback, whether I'm hunting for ghosts or fighting against windmills... --Shlomo (talk) 14:58, 26 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I guess it's possible to move many of these claims to the items about the parts. Adam is mainly in Genesis for example. (Even if he can be found in some other books, is he mainly a character in Genesis.) Another example is Raphael (Q56951) who can only be found in one book, a book that not even is recognized by all christians as a part of Q1845. -- Lavallen (talk) 15:28, 26 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Wikisource disambigs[edit]

I've moved Wikisource disambig pages to Q343399. Lugusto (talk) 19:47, 15 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Your edits were reverted. The Wikisource pages you moved are not disambiguation pages, but version pages, and should be included here. For more information, see Wikidata:Wikisource/How to help#Works. --Neo-Jay (talk) 04:46, 26 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Bible in arabic[edit]

The arabic translation of the Bible Q20155308 should be merged into Bible Q1845. For an unknown reason, I cannot merge them myself. Can someone do it ? Baronnet (talk) 12:30, 5 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Trouble[edit]

I have some trouble with a template on svwikisource. I will therefor remove a number of statements here, to detect where the error is. I intend to restore these statements when I have found the mistake. -- Innocent bystander (talk) 17:40, 13 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I am done vandalising here, thank you for your patience! -- Innocent bystander (talk) 17:56, 13 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Infovarius: literary work (Q7725634) is redundant because book (Q571) and religious text (Q179461) are already subclasses of literary work (Q7725634). --Horcrux (talk) 10:35, 31 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Horcrux: book (Q571) is not subclass of work now. But literary work (Q7725634) is really redundant, as well as written work (Q47461344). --Infovarius (talk) 18:45, 12 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
