heteronym[edit]

@Gymel: your changes doesn't makes any sense. You removed IDs for Álvaro de Campos (Álvaro de Campos (Q8076778)) and Bernardo Soares (Bernardo Soares (Q15630379)) but kept IDs for Alberto Caeiro (Alberto Caeiro (Q2758050)), Vicento Guedes (no WD entry), Jean Seul de Méluret (no WD entry), António Mora (no WD entry), Alexander Search (Alexander Search (Q4879167)) and Ricardo Reis (Ricardo Reis (Q15630389)). Could you please clarify? A standard is needed, specially because Fernando Pessoa have 127 heteronyms, but, as any standard, it must be applicable to all of his heteronyms. Well, that is simple: I started with two of them to give others here the chance to react. Yesterday I was going to proceed when I noticed that you had reverted these edits.
My argument is: Since we now have dedicated items for e.g. (Bernardo Soares (Q15630379)) we can map the authority control situation more faithfully and assign VIAF 2465357 and other AC data specifically concerned with Bernardo Soares to that item. This will reduce constraint violation notices. On the other hand Authority data from sources which do not differentiate between the heteronyms will continune to be recorded multiply with all Wikidata items applicable. -- Gymel (talk) 04:33, 28 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
