Landau Test and Vito-Russo-Test[edit]

Hi Wallacegromit1, I think this film should pass the Landau Test; there is only a female protagonist, not a male one. I saw you gave the film a score of 1/3 for the Vito-Russo-Test. But I can't remember any LGBTQIA+ character in this work. I would rate this 0/3. What do you think about changing these statements? I think it passes the reverse Bechdel test (I already changed this statement and added some sources with quotes from the film where Baines and Stewart speak about something other than a woman. The second one is a bit dubious as it turns out to be mainly about her piano). Kind regards, - Valentina.Anitnelav (talk) 18:35, 29 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Valentina.Anitnelav
  1. This film definitely passes the Landau test, even if Harvey Keitel's character George Baines is considered a "protagonist", he is being helped in a way, so she is not a "problem for him".
  2. I do not remember why I gave it 1/3 for Vito Russo. I had just seen it again, and maybe there was a minor character that was queer, or maybe there was a suggestion that the antagonist has some degree of queerness. Regardless, you could change it to 0/3.
  3. Love the screenplay as reference. It does pass the Reverse Bechdel.
Thank You for the re-check. Wallacegromit1 (talk) 08:23, 30 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
