Durand-Ruel Galleries, New York is recorded as the lender for the painting in ""The Centennial Exposition"", Dallas Museum of Fine Arts, June 6 to November 29, 1936. Durand -Ruel, Paris photograph in curatorial file is inscribed on the back as follows: ""A1035 - Monet - Falaises près Dieppe - N.Y. 7395 - 60 x 81.""
