Are kunya of the given name (Q202444) class?[edit]

  • Hello @ChristianKl:, Thanks for your care, I understand the relation, but to make it clear, there are some given names that are in the form of Kunyas, so they look like Kunyas but are not Kunyas, the difference between given names in the form of Kunyas and Kunyas is that Kunyas are adopted at later stages, whether by the name holder themselves or by other people as an extra identification of the person, while the given name in the form of Kunya is given at birth and its holder may yet adopt a true Kunya, for example, someone's given name is "Abu Ahmad" and then he adopts a kunya of "Abu Omar", his given name (Abu Ahmad) looks like Kunya but is categorized as a given name, while "Abu Omar" is his Kunya, moreover in some occurrences, individuals adopted more than one Kunyas, or there was a dispute in their Kunyas by biographers. Kunyas are not for males only, but also for females.
  • example for a proper name in the form of Kunya is Abu Alala Al Maududi, as as a given name for Human, and for statue is Abu Alhaul, his Arabic Name is in the form of Kunya, but it is a proper noun,
  • the Poet Abu Nuwas, whose given name is Al Hasan, he had first "Abu Ali" as his Kunya, then, it was overcome by his new Kunya "Abu Nuwas", anyway, these cases are not the common pattern, but it is good to take them into consideration, as well as the fact of Kunya being used for male and females, and less common for animals.--Abu aamir (talk) 11:37, 16 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
