Discussion[edit]

Need to differentiate cumulative numbers (total since start) from annual frequency[edit]

See Property talk:P1120. Tomastvivlaren Tomastvivlaren (talk) 10:19, 17 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Age at event[edit]

Why is age of subject at event (P3629) a mandatory qualifier? Couldn't/shouldn't that be computed based on the date of the event and the date of birth of the linked person? Seems like unnecessary data duplication. Ehn (talk) 03:31, 7 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Most news articles and Wikipedia articles about deadly items that lists the victims will also list them among their age at the time. I know it's a late reply but hope it counts @Ehn: --Trade (talk) 23:35, 31 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I don't understand why this property requires that an object with this property must also have the property located in the administrative territorial entity (P131). For this reason, I have removed the restriction first. You can still discuss it here. --Gymnicus (talk) 10:07, 29 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, i admit i overdid. Thanks for the feedback @Gymnicus: --Trade (talk) 23:35, 31 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Requirement of number of injured[edit]

I don't understand why this property requires number of injured number of injured (P1339). It makes no sense for a murder victim to count him or her as injured when they are in fact dead. Or should we use some other property than victim for murder victims? Sjö (talk) 15:17, 18 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Not necessarily. There have been cases of murder or assassinations that involved harm to innocent bystanders or witnesses. @Sjo: --Trade (talk) 23:34, 31 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Participant constraint[edit]

When victim (P8032)/perpetrator (P8031) is used, only significant person (P3342) can be used in addition to those, instead of the generic participant (P710). But of significant person (P3342) and participant (P710) only the latter can be used for organisations and this leaves us in the situation where we can't link an organization to an event where there are victims and perpetrators. I suggest either removing the constraint or renaming "significant person" to "significant person or organization". A model item is Aubrey de Grey sexual harassment allegations (Q108060300). --Azertus (talk) 13:46, 8 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
