eliminated ID[edit]

ID identification on embassypages.com has been removed.

previous link: https://www.embassypages.com/missions/embassy9297/ now: https://www.embassypages.com/qatar-embassy-paris-france

We cannot read the ID from the URL and cannot be seen anywhere on the pages. We cannot add a new mission ID. Palotabarát (talk) 14:53, 3 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Palotabarát : There is a way to retrieve the previously assigned IDs — from archived version(s) of EmbassyPages.com.

For example, using web.archive.org/web/20171206043347/https://www.embassypages.com/, I was able to retrieve the page for Canada, and from there I located the dead/broken link United States - Washington, D.C. which contains the ID 21920. This ID correctly redirects to the current webpage with the use of EmbassyPages.com ID (P4127) as a statement for Embassy of Canada, Washington, D.C. (Q137245). It remains unknown and to be seen how long these EmbassyPages.com redirects remain active.
Hope this helps — Dcflyer (talk) 02:04, 30 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Archived versions don't exist for all pages on https://www.embassypages.com/, but the ID can also be found as the number following "https://www.embassypages.com/update/embassy" in the source code of a page for an embassy or a consulate. Best, --Marsupium (talk) 05:34, 17 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
