Discussion[edit]
SchaatsStatistieken.nl[edit]
This SpeedSkatingStats speed skater ID (P3695)'s have a little bit more info on dutch speed skaters at the dutchlanguage mirrored website at SchaatsStatistieken.nl and it is the same web-administrator at both sites. Best regards Migrant (talk) 11:21, 28 February 2017 (UTC)
- @Migrant: One can document this this way. Thierry Caro (talk) 15:40, 28 February 2017 (UTC)
- Okay. So it is okay to register a person that only has resultsdata at SchaatsStatistieken.nl then, i guess ? Migrant (talk) 18:40, 28 February 2017 (UTC)
- @Migrant: Well, what do you mean when you say that the Dutch version has more data? Does it mean that there are skaters covered there that are not in the English version? Or do you mean that the number of entries is equal but the Dutch version has more results per entry? In the first scenario, we might need to rename the property so that it links to the Dutch version first. In the second scenario, we can keep everything like this, I suppose. You would still be welcome to use this property on items for skaters whose page is underdevelopped in English and much better in Dutch. Thierry Caro (talk) 10:28, 3 March 2017 (UTC)
- Take for instance the dutch speed skater Sven Kramer (Q111320) and this is his english profileversion and this is his dutch profileversion information only in english version link to cycling resultdatabase (Cyclebase.nl); and information only in dutch version: little textbiography (these are not at every dutch skaters only the famous ones) and includes national championshipmedals and dutch records in speed skating. The same goes for stadiums and championshipresults of course, which does not yet have properties created for them. The difference between these 2 websites for other nationalities than dutch skaters are equal to nothing. PS. The buildup of skater-IDs are created from their birthdate (Year-month-date) and adding a 2-digit number starting from zero-one and adding plus one for people born on the same date. But of course all birthdates aren't known so there are some shorter digits-id's too for those unknown birthdate-skaters, some of the unknown birthdate-skaters become known birthdates and changes skater-IDs so this might be a little updating-issue (don't know about redirects from older ids are functional at these websites.). Best regards Migrant (talk) 21:32, 5 March 2017 (UTC)
- OK. We don't need to change anything then. Thierry Caro (talk) 23:07, 9 March 2017 (UTC)
