Wikidata can be tested at a few test and demo systems. Generally new functionalities are first deployed to the test systems. They can be tested there before deploying to other systems. These test systems can also be used to play around with wikidata without interfering the official data.

repository Client

test.wikidata.org[edit]

This is a standalone test system of the repository.

Here you can test properties, qualifiers, references etcetera.

test.wikipedia.org[edit]

This is a test-client using the test wikidata as repository.

test2.wikipedia.org[edit]

This is also a test-client using the test wikidata as repository. It used the official wikidata before March 2014.

Here you can test the behavior of a wikipedia with regard to test parser function #property or Lua scripting etcetera. It can be used to develop templates and/or modules that can be used on wikipedias.

This test2 system is also used for testing other mediawiki coding.

Beta cluster[edit]

See here for all clients it can use.
