Maharashtra[edit]

@Mahir256:I can contribute by adding updated information of COVID 19 cases from all the districts of Maharashtra. please let me know how to go about it. --Phadke09 (talk) 05:18, 30 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello @Phadke09:, thanks for your interest to help us in the effort. This is the list of districts which are affected by COVID-19 data by now and has got Wikidata items. If you go to each items, you will get data on number of cases (P1603) (all detected cases i.e. active cases + deaths + recoveries) and number of deaths (P1120), which I have added from different sources. I didn't find number of recoveries (P8010) and number of medical tests (P8011) for Maharashtra from any sources. Please recheck all the district data from the start, match them with 2020 COVID-19 pandemic in Maharashtra (Q87805340), update the values of these 4 properties, add reliable sources accordingly and add new items for new districts where new cases come up. Please don't hesitate to ping us anytime you need help from us. Thanks, -- Bodhisattwa (talk) 05:44, 30 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Bodhisattwa:. I have started uploading recovery data number of recoveries (P8010) from Maharashtra. Please use this data for appropriate queries. Thanks,--Phadke09 (talk) 14:39, 31 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Phadke09:, sure, will do. Can you also please update the data in 2020 COVID-19 pandemic in Maharashtra (Q87805340)? -- Bodhisattwa (talk) 14:34, 1 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Bodhisattwa:. Can you please guide me on how to embed dynamic line chart (Result of a query) on to a wikipedia page?--Phadke09 (talk) 02:43, 26 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Phadke09:, this has not been solved yet. See this ticket. -- Bodhisattwa (talk) 19:23, 26 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Bodhisattwa:. Can you please guide me for updation of case fetality rate(P3457) using QuickStatements?--Phadke09 (talk) 02:43, 26 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Csisc: is working on this area and updating the data. He can guide you better than me. -- Bodhisattwa (talk) 19:18, 26 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Phadke09: I thank Bodhisattwa for mentioning me. Yes, I am working on this area. The most simple way to do that is to use Wikidata Query Service to infer case fatality rates from the data available in Wikidata. The query for that is https://w.wiki/PE2. What you need to do after this is to download the query results and CSV and process them using Excel. The format that you should have for each line is <item> TAB P3457 TAB <mortality> TAB P585 TAB <date> TAB S887 TAB Q976981. The date format should be like +2020-03-17T00:00:00Z/11. Then, you can just upload the results using QuickStatements tool. --Csisc (talk) 15:53, 27 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Maharashtra data[edit]

Whoever is updating the data for Maharashtra, please use [1]. This source also has number of recoveries but the currently used source doesn't. 2401:4900:3303:5EC:D6A2:9DAC:83EA:AD1A 15:55, 27 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Bodhisattwa:, @Gnoeee:, @Mahir256:, @Satdeep Gill: In the item mentioned, there is a mismatch in the number of deaths from 4th April between WHO Situation Report (Global) and the report published by PIB. As it was informed here that WHO report should not be used for references, I would like to know whether I can remove each of the items from 4th April and replace them with the counts from PIB. Editing of the item consumes more time which is the reason why I thought of removing. I would like to have your suggestions please. The same needs to be done for the number of cases on 28 April. Adithyak1997 (talk) 05:14, 30 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Since the WHO publishes report based on data collected from PIB only there may be sometimes difference because of the time of publishing the reports. So preference must be given to report published by PIB. My personal suggestion is that if the values are correct but having different point in time (P585) better to edit it manually and change the claim. So that it will create a history track of the change by a comment Changed claim in the edit history.-❙❚❚❙❙ JinOy ❚❙❚❙❙ 07:42, 30 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Discrepancies in clinical tests data in 2020 COVID-19 pandemic in Maharashtra[edit]

Hi, I was trying to update No. of Clinical tests in 2020 COVID-19 pandemic in Maharashtra but there is a huge discrepancies as no. of tests have decreased as per the daily bulletins.

10 May - 238,766 tests Bulletin10May

11 May - 218,914 tests Bulletin11May

12 May - 221,645 tests Bulletin12May

It is mentioned in 11 May and 12 May bulletins for this change that Laboratory testing numbers have been updated as per the ICMR portal. How should we address this now? - Mayankj429 (talk) 06:04, 13 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Mayankj429: Ya, I have noticed it. May be error with the data in the 10th May.. So better to remove that value and update 11th and 12th data.-❙❚❚❙❙ JinOy ❚❙❚❙❙ 06:24, 13 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Andhra Pradesh change in reporting cases[edit]

Hi all fellow editors, this a note to all regarding Andhra Pradesh, the state have seprated 150 cases of other states from their tally in Bulletin and dashboard and shows them seprately in a Note at last in both, kindly add those numbers to the tally when you edit 2020 COVID-19 pandemic in Andhra Pradesh (Q87821859) as these cases were earlier reported in the tally and MoHFW too adds them to the Andhra pradesh tally - MOHFW and tally reported in state bulletin a day earlier to MoHFW update have a difference of 150. Question: using WikiData or better solution than a WikiText article on a single language?[edit]

Hi wise WikiDatans,

I just try to start a page for tracking COVID-19 vaccination, but not sure if it is the best approach: shall we keep it as a Wikipedia article page that works only on a single language and have challenge to move and share in other WP languages and articles of EN Wikipedia, or shall we use WikiData or other open source relational data and transclude them into EN Wikipedia? Any advice from WikiDatan's?
