Multiple codes within a municipality[edit]

How to include multiple codes with a municipality, e.g. 0123, 05656, 05657. Can I use a comma separator? For a range I can use notation 05677-05679 right? 139.63.60.122 14:21, 8 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

For multiple codes, please use separate statements. For ranges, the solution sounds ok. --  Docu  at 07:20, 9 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

National or international?[edit]

I see that Stockholm got the number "8". That is correct if you dial from another country. Inside Sweden it is "08". Which are we supposed to use= -- Lavallen (block) 13:23, 10 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I think this is an international database system. So I would prefer to suppress the national part of the code, for example the local dialing code of Berlin: national form 030, international part 30. --Brühl (talk) 14:17, 14 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
If you would use the property in an infobox on a Wikipedia, it would be more logical to use either the full form of the number (it is easier for the reader to remove it than to add it) or to to place the preceding digit (zero) in parentheses, for example (0)8. LOCAL dialing code[edit]

Being a "local" dialing code, the values stored in this property should be inserted without the national dialing code, while I've seen many of them. Can they be automatically cleaned? On top of this, can also the regex be modified from the current [\d\(\)\- \+]+ into [\d\(\)\- ]+ (i.e. removing the +)? --Andyrom75 (talk) 10:36, 5 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Since the codes in some Countries has an optional part at the beginning (tipically a zero), the regex can be changed into (\(\d+\))?[\d\- ]+
Maybe (\(0\))?[\d\- ]+ is enough, but I'm not yet sure about it. --Andyrom75 (talk) 07:36, 8 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks to the new trunk prefix (P3238), local dialing code (P473) can store the exact prefix without highlighting the optional part, so the brackets are not anymore needed. I'm going to revise the regex accordingly. --Andyrom75 (talk) 19:10, 14 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
