L'objectiu d'aquest projecte és recollir tots els Lieder, i els cicles de Lieder, i els seus poemes associats. Usem la paraula Lied com a sinònim de peça vocal o coral acompanyada per a piano o orquestra basada en un text, en la tradició de la música clàssica, sigui en la tradició alemanya o d'un altre país.
Aquest projecte està agermanat amb el Wikidata:WikiProject Music
Ambdós projectes col·laboren per tenir models i normes coherents.
Models
Treballarem en tres tipus diferents d'elements: Poema, Lied i cicle de Lied. També tenim algunes propietats per afegir a l'ítem human (Q5) relacionat amb les obres, sigui el compositor com el lletrista.
