A WikiCite satellite conference will take place at May 6th - 8th 2020 at GESIS – Leibniz Institute for the Social Sciences in Cologne. Conference language is German and English.

Vom 6. bis 8. Mai 2020 findet am GESIS – Leibniz-Institut für Sozialwissenschaften in Köln eine WikiCite Satellite Konferenz statt. Veranstaltungssprache sind Deutsch und Englisch.


Following the international WikiCite conferences in 2016, 2017 and 2018 we invite you to the first WikiCite Satellite conference in Cologne, Germany. The event aims to connect local library institutions and academic researchers with the WikiCite community in their shared interest in an open infrastructure for research and education. WikiCite is a growing bibliographic knowledge base connected to projects of the Wikimedia Foundation such as Wikipedia and Wikidata.

Call for Contributions[edit]

Compared to previous WikiCite conference the WikiCite satellite will be more focused on local communities and practice. We are looking for tutorials, workshops, and short talks. Please add yourself if interested to contribute!
