LinkRecoveryBot[edit]
LinkRecoveryBot (talk • contribs • new items • new lexemes • SUL • Block log • User rights log • User rights • xtools)
Operator: Emaus (talk • contribs • logs)
Task/s: Reverting of links that were removed by new users.
Function details: The bot's algorythm is the same as was discussed here with little addition: it also skips the links to redirections and deleted pages. See examples of work in bot's contribution. --Emaus (talk) 19:13, 19 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Please reverting of links that were removed by new users before LinkRecoveryBot is running too when the linking page is neither deleted or linked to other item, and there is no page link in language to items that new users removed its link.--GZWDer (talk) 04:34, 20 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Please warn user who is removing site link.--GZWDer (talk) 04:34, 20 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- As the one who made the requerst linked here, I support that bot as is. I don't understand GZWDer's first comment (i.e. don't get what you want to say), but for the second one I still believe what I said in the request discussion: If you are going to warn users, only do it for registered ones, not for IPs, as in those cases it most likely will reach the wrong person. --YMS (talk) 12:53, 20 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Although LinkRecoveryBot will be running, How to recover so many links removed before? Must it be done manually?--GZWDer (talk) 11:03, 21 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

- My bot can warn the registered users if someone creates a warning tempate. --Emaus (talk) 08:55, 26 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- There is {{subst:Uw-link-removal1}}. The Anonymouse (talk) 07:11, 7 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- This looks awesome. I think it should leave a warning as well. Looks ready for approval otherwise. Legoktm (talk) 18:34, 21 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
@Emaus: Good idea indeed. But the bot should follow the 3-revert rule. --Ricordisamoa 01:01, 25 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- I read the discussion as the bot is ready to approval. If there are objections, please post (or repeat) them here. If there are none, I will approve the bot in a couple of days.--Ymblanter (talk) 10:42, 6 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
