Task/s: maintaining Wikidata

Goal: The goal of this bot is to run maintaining tasks on Wikidata and to reduce the workload for Wikidata users. For the beginning, the selected jobs are copied from PLbot: marking deleted items on RfD, updating the popular item section on the main page, counting open property proposals, archiving property proposals. In future this list will be extended. I want to move these bot jobs from PLbot to DeltaBot that in case of a longer absence for my part other users can keep running the bot. Thus, my goal is to find co-owners of the bot and to encourage users to collaborate to DeltaBot. All source code will be open source. --Pasleim (talk) 19:55, 31 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This sounds like a good idea. Is the code the same as what PLbot was using, or rewritten? DeltaBot doesn't seem to have any edits yet, is the problem you can't turn this on unless you turn off PLbot for these tasks first? ArthurPSmith (talk) 17:08, 2 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

It's the same code as PLbot is using. DeltaBot doesn't yet have any edits because I prefer to first get the bot flag. To see test edits just have a look at PLbot's edits, e.g. on [1] [2] [3] --Pasleim (talk) 07:58, 3 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
