- Motivation
We have properties to model positive correlation "leads to", but not negative "prevents ...". d1g (talk) 20:08, 31 July 2017 (UTC)
- Discussion
- Question « Drink » si an action, my assumption is that « water » or « drink water » are also candidates. On the other hand, « drink alcohol » dehydrates … what about the dichotomy substances / action ? author TomT0m / talk page
- Comment Also, in the water case, water is used for hydratation. There is a relationship between the two effects. Maybe meat for WikiProject Reasoning. author TomT0m / talk page 12:03, 3 August 2017 (UTC)
- Currently, both proposals lack a description. There's already the existing proposal https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Wikidata:Property_proposal/Natural_science#may_prevent . Deciding the exact meaning of "prevent" isn't trivial because different people might expect a different standard of evidence for claims. ChristianKl (talk) 15:02, 7 August 2017 (UTC)
- I'm terrible at medicine; water can kill too water intoxication (Q1144913) d1g (talk) 15:45, 15 August 2017 (UTC)
- Oppose in the current form as many fields in the template proposal are empty, and because of the uncertainties raised above. − Pintoch (talk) 07:56, 25 October 2017 (UTC)
- @D1gggg, TomT0m, Pintoch: Not done, the proposal is sparce on details and has no support. ChristianKl (✉) 19:26, 23 November 2017 (UTC)
