Motivation[edit]

The Newspaper Genre List (Q106632466) is a controlled vocabulary to describe genres of newspapers. The perspective and scope of the list reflects types of newspapers cataloged by members of the United States Newspaper Program (Q7890844). The vocabulary is available as an HTML list, and is also published by the University of Washington Libraries (Q7896575) as linked open data in the following formats: HTML with embedded RDFa, N-Triples, RDF/XML, JSON-LD, Turtle, and MARC-XML. All data is in the public domain and may be used without restriction. UWashPrincipalCataloger (talk) 05:49, 12 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
