Motivation

Mod DB is a moding-oriented website, so it usually contains information about engines and frameworks the games built on.

I've wrote a script that fills software engine (P408) based on Mod DB, and, as a result, I have a small matching table between Wikidata items and Mod DB slugs. I'd like to upload it to Wikidata, it feels suitable.

   Comment I found out that some of the engines have duplicate entries. For example Irrlicht Engine has: [3] and [4]. Which of them should be used in WD item? Sir Lothar (talk) 11:44, 19 October 2022 (UTC)

  Probably both. There would be lot of things to thing about. For instance, Mod DB has a separate entry for Unreal Development Kit (Q11252287), which is basically Unreal Engine 3 (Q13156651). Should we distinguish these, too? Facenapalm (talk) 12:00, 19 October 2022 (UTC)
