Motivation[edit]

The inspecteurs dictionary by Caplat is a reference work for the history of education in France. It is digitized by the Persee institution, with a dedicated page for each individual. It is similar to other external identifiers from reference works digitized by Persee such as the Faculty professors and the Collège de France professors dictionaries who have obtained their own external identifier property. I am also suggesting another property for the Les Recteurs d'Académie en France dictionary supervised by Condette.

Discussion[edit]

  •  Comment if this is an external identifier, the "value" should not be an URL in the examples. Also I wonder whether a new property is really needed for only 433 ids. --Hannes Röst (talk) 19:17, 22 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Hannes, thank you for your answer. I am trying to understand what you mean concerning the "value", as they are URLs but only appear as numbers (as they should). I based these proposals off already existing properties and proposals who were similarly structured. Each individual has a dictionary entry behind those URLs. The actual value would only be the last 4 digits. I added a value constraint in any case.
As stated in my proposal, other similar properties already exist, based on specialized dictionaries, with only a few hundreds number of entries. This proposal only serves to expand and complete such links to outside databases and references.
