  • BA candidate.svg Weak oppose Glassdoor actually has IDs for employers (companies), if you inspect the page source this can be found in data-employer-id=. It would be good if we could find a formatter URL that takes this ID and use those specifically (they do appear in the existing URL, for example McDonald's is 432, EA's is 1628 and Infinity Ward's is 259027). They're also used by the Glassdoor API. --SilentSpike (talk) 17:34, 22 February 2020 (UTC)
    • For example, Glassdoor list themselves on special page https://www.glassdoor.co.uk/glassdoor which does not match the formatter URL. Yet they still have an employer ID. --SilentSpike (talk) 17:54, 22 February 2020 (UTC)
    • If you're trying to use the raw codes, it seems https://www.glassdoor.com/Overview/-EI_IE$1.htm works as a formatter URL. If we switch to that URL scheme, I Symbol support vote.svg Support Vahurzpu (talk) 17:23, 23 March 2020 (UTC)
      • Nicely found, how did you manage to figure that out? I would also support this proposal it switched to just the ID number with this URL scheme. --SilentSpike (talk) 22:35, 23 March 2020 (UTC)
        • @SilentSpike: It was a matter of trial and error: I took the URLs above and deleted things that looked unimportant until the URLs stopped resolving. User:Trade, are you okay with changing the format?
          • Yes. --Trade (talk) 12:06, 30 March 2020 (UTC)
  • @Trade: I've gone ahead and marked this as ready now that the only opposing discussion here is resolved and it has been more than a week since proposal. Hopefully a property creator will see it shortly. --SilentSpike (talk) 13:52, 30 March 2020 (UTC)
