Planned useI'm planning to ingest the Swiss inventory of heritage institutions which I compiled from various sources for the OpenGLAM Benchmark Survey. The data and documentation are available via datahub.io. If the ingestion of the Swiss dataset is successful, we may consider ingesting also the datasets for ca. 10 further countries. To my knowledge, these are the most complete inventories of heritage institutions that exist in the countries covered, as they have regularly been assembled from various sources.
Motivation

I'm planning to ingest the Swiss inventory of heritage institutions which I compiled from various sources for the OpenGLAM Benchmark Survey. The data and documentation are available via datahub.io. If the ingestion of the Swiss dataset is successful, we may consider ingesting also the datasets for ca. 10 further countries. To my knowledge, these are the most complete inventories of heritage institutions that exist in the countries covered, as they have been assembled from various sources. Being able to rely on a unique identifier would facilitate the ingestion process and future maintenance of the data. Beat Estermann (talk) 21:15, 12 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
