- Motivation
I started mapping out Finnish media companies and organizations owned by the municipalities. In both cases organizations and businesses form complex networks. At the same time brand names are some times used loosely. To map out and understand networks it becomes important to be able to browse for information from the governmental registry and to be able to be specific about which official organization or business is meant. - Comment EU VAT may not be enough. @Petrikola: please explain: 1. Are there FI companies that are not registered for VAT? (BG has such, and such companies cannot be designated with the EU VAT form "BGnnnnnn"). 2. Can you provide a FormatterURL that makes a working link to the Finnish register website? There is an EU VAT lookup at DG TAXUD, but the info is very poor --Vladimir Alexiev (talk) 08:58, 22 April 2017 (UTC)
