on the English WP the links are not displayed in the left column. --NearEMPTiness (talk) 04:34, 16 July 2017 (UTC)

Seems to be a cache problem. Everything looks OK for me. --тнояsтеn 18:25, 16 July 2017 (UTC)
For me at enwp it is also not displaying the german link. There is no overruling link in the wikitext at enwp, and ctrl+F5 to clear the cache doesn't seem to work. Q.Zanden questions? 23:09, 16 July 2017 (UTC)
Did you purge the page: [1]? --тнояsтеn 05:06, 17 July 2017 (UTC)
Alright, that seems to clear the problem. Thanks! Q.Zanden questions? 12:50, 17 July 2017 (UTC)

Both represent the same thing, just using different language codes to mean Hakka. --Nikki (talk) 14:17, 14 May 2015 (UTC)

--Liuxinyu970226 (talk) 00:18, 4 June 2015 (UTC)
@Liuxinyu970226: Isn't phab:T10317 about renaming the project's language code, not about fixing the project's own templates? The problem here appears to be that the Chinese Wikipedia has its own template zh:Template:User_zh-hakka-1 which puts users into zh:Category:Zh-hakka-1 使用者 whereas zh:Category:Hak-1 使用者 comes from someone using hak-1 with meta:User language. -- – The preceding unsigned comment was added by Nikki (talk • contribs) at 16:33, 4 June 2015 (UTC).
Not really, that is about the Special:DoubleRedirects, not about the babel. TL;DR, this issue is because zhwiki has Babel boxes with customized codes, e.g. Template:User zh-hakka (Q14402688), Template:User hak-1 (Q14402689), Template:User zh-hakka-2 (Q13409872), Template:User hak-3 (Q14402690), Template:User zh-hakka-4 (Q14402691) for Hakka. --Liuxinyu970226 (talk) 12:06, 25 June 2015 (UTC)
Also note the zh:Template:User hak was deleted by Shizhao on 2 May 2012. --Liuxinyu970226 (talk) 12:09, 25 June 2015 (UTC)

It is the same given name --MaeseLeon (talk) 06:31, 11 July 2017 (UTC)

@MaeseLeon: No, one is with the h at the end, the other without. Q.Zanden questions? 23:09, 11 July 2017 (UTC)
@QZanden: It's just a spelling difference. The names Sara and Sarah are just two variants of the ancient Levantine name Sara, which is the same female given name in many cultures with no more difference in meaning and usage than such spelling variants. --MaeseLeon (talk) 09:47, 12 July 2017 (UTC)
Might be a problem in Slovene: are w:sl:Sara and w:sl:Sarah really same? --Liuxinyu970226 (talk) 14:49, 12 July 2017 (UTC)
At sl.wp they have both a different name-day. That is also a reason why these shouldn't be merged. But I agree on most wiki's they treat sara the same as sarah in one lemma. Q.Zanden questions? 00:31, 13 July 2017 (UTC)
So @MaeseLeon:  Not done unfortunately there's nothing to do within Wikidata, if you want to know what's differents between two slwiki articles, you would better learn Slovene. --Liuxinyu970226 (talk) 00:07, 3 August 2017 (UTC)
@Liuxinyu970226:@QZanden: Well, I sure don't speak slovene, but using Google Translate, I see that in the article w:sl:Sarah says:
Izvor imena - Ime Sarah je različica ženskega osebnega imena Sara
which translates as:
Source of name - The name Sarah is a version of the female personal name Sara
and the article w:sl:Sara says:
Izvor in pomen imena - Ime izvira iz hebrejščine besede שָׂרָה (...). V Svetem pismu je Sara Abrahamova žena
which translates as
The source and meaning of the name - The name comes from Hebrew, the word שָׂרָה (...). In the Bible , Sara is Abraham's wife
and it also says
Različice imena - Sarina, Sali, Sarah, Saraja, Sari, Sarita, Šara, Šarika, Šarka, Šarlota, Šopkica
which translates as
Name variants - Sara, Sarah, Sarah, Sara, Sarah, Sarita, Sarah, Sharika, Shark, Charlotte, Shopkica
so it looks like even the Slovenian Wikipedia agrees that Sara and Sarah are two spelling variants of exactly the same personal name! :D --MaeseLeon (talk) 00:35, 3 August 2017 (UTC)
  • Current approach (today) is consistent with the handling of first names at Wikidata. Please set local interwikis if you want to link other spellings (This can be done through a template). Some sitelinks in non-Latin script may need to be moved to new items (but this is true for many such items).
