Discussion[edit]

@Vicarage: I was attempting to add links to Dreadnought Project page (P4589) pages, a highly regarded naval history site, which for many articles had a wikipedia page link from which I deduced the Wikidata values. Checking the results of this batch, mainly people, it seems that some wikipedia links there point to completely the wrong person as the Dreadnought people had been lax in their mapping. This was obvious when I checked later results for obvious names Walter Scott (Q79025) (but even for unique sounding names like William James Knowles (Q101078161)) or links to disambiguation pages. I'm happy to revert the batch, rather than decide manually whether people had a naval career but some wikidata sailors already had Dreadnought Project links, claims that my batch repeated, leading to a null change. Is there any danger that when I revert my batch that these existing claims would be affected?
