Harvesting templates

Hi Multichill! I have been interested in Wikidata since I first heard about the project about a year ago, but given my lack of coding skills I wasn't able to contribute very much, until I found out about pywikibot and (especially) harvest_template. This script allowed me to contribute to the project in a meaningful way, and thanks to it I have been able to add claims to hundreds of items, so I wish to thank you for creating it! I noticed that some datatypes are not yet supported (time, commonsmedia, quantity and coordinates), but I managed to add commonsMedia with just a few changes, and I thought that other people might find that useful. Cheers,--Underlying lk (talk) 01:56, 27 February 2014 (UTC)

I'm happy to hear this! I filed a bug so we can implement it. Multichill (talk) 17:57, 27 February 2014 (UTC)
Hi again! I tried something similar with the time datatype in claimit, and it seems to work from this diff.--Underlying lk (talk) 17:10, 1 March 2014 (UTC)
Another one: url datatype in harvest. Do you know if pwb supports quantities already?--Underlying lk (talk) 00:56, 6 March 2014 (UTC)
Hey Multichill. I copied the code from your excellent new script, newitem.py, and added it to harvest template.py to add the ability to create new items when claims are harvested. I hope my messages aren't getting too annoying, and since you're the creator of both scripts I thought it would be good form to let you know! Cheers, Underlying lk (talk) 20:54, 13 March 2014 (UTC)
No, not at all. I'm happy to get them! Just a bit preoccupied with other things so I don't really get around on following up on this. Multichill (talk) 20:59, 13 March 2014 (UTC)
