Template:Welcome/text - Sorbian translations

Hello Kaganer,

did you get FuzzyBot to change the text of Sorbian translations of Template:Welcome/text, Template:Welcome/text/hsb resp. Template:Welcome/text/dsb? A FuzzyBot shall mark the obsolete translations only and not change the translations. But FuzzyBot replaced in these translations Sorbian text by English text. Page Wikidata:Introduction - translated text is replaced by English text

Hello Kaganer, similarly like with the page Template:Welcome/text - see above- the translated messages of Wikidata:Introduction are replaced by English text wihout marking the changed messages by red background color. Also the percentage of 100% is not changed although some untranslated messages exist now. You marked this page for translation as last one bute Beta16 marked this page for translation as well today (before you). Please see to it that FuzzyBot works correctly again! Hi, because you set <tvar> here: [2] it is not possible to translate the url. I mean link Wikidata:Requests_for_permissions#Requests_for_other_rights. Translation of redirect ambiguation

In my opinion, WD:PP redirects to base page of multilingual page ;) I think, there is no reasons to create localized shortcuts. Therefore this link is to be remain constant.--Kaganer (talk) 07:57, 17 April 2013 (UTC)

Yes, but my point was that the text "WD:PP redirects here" is not true for the translated pages, as it only redirects to the English page. So the text could be removed from the translated pages, as you cannot land on them by mistaken use of the shortcut. (But it would be nice if a shortcut could automatically redirect to the right language version of the page, but that is not possible to my knowledge.) Byrial (talk) 08:26, 17 April 2013 (UTC)

В рувики: publish = записать

Доброго времени суток. Сделайте, пожалуйста, как в рувики: кнопка publish переводится записать (дословно: Publish_changes переводится Записать_страницу), а не опубликовать. --VladXe (talk) 21:39, 8 January 2018 (UTC)

Why this edit. I assume <noinclude> should be equivalent. You most likely have a good reason for it, but I want to understand, so I do not do "fixes" like that. --Jarekt (talk) 17:45, 19 January 2018 (UTC)

@Jarekt: These for different purposes. "noinclude" - to not include categories when using a template (this is common for templates). "#ifeq:{{PAGENAME}}|Welcome/text|" - to not include in the category pages with translations (as is customary here to do). • Вот это метакатегория, а вот это нормальная контентная категория. По крайней мере в известных мне проектах это так называется. А что это за логика про больше интервик? Что-то не соображу. Как по мне, связывать с категориями ВП вообще не имеет никакого смысла: в Википедиях категории - это бесполезный неиспользуемый и непосещаемый рудимент. When you (want to) merge items, you may want to use the merge.js gadget from help page about merging. It helps with merging and removes the need to file a request on Wikidata:Requests for deletions.

Call for participation in a task-based online experiment

Dear Kaganer,

I hope you are doing good,

I am Kholoud, a researcher at King's College London, and I work on a project as part of my PhD research, in which I have developed a personalised recommender system that suggests Wikidata items for the editors based on their past edits. I am collaborating on this project with Elena Simperl and Miaojing Shi.

I am inviting you to a task-based study that will ask you to provide your judgments about the relevance of the items suggested by our system based on your previous edits.

Participation is completely voluntary, and your cooperation will enable us to evaluate the accuracy of the recommender system in suggesting relevant items to you. We will analyse the results anonymised, and they will be published to a research venue.

The study will start in early April 2022, and it should take no more than 30 minutes.
