ORCID Inc[edit]

ORCID, Inc. (Q19861084) is about the organisation, not the identifier. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 22:34, 29 December 2016 (UTC)

Women scientists[edit]

Hi! Thanks for your example query on women scientists. I have changed it to include also people where a subclass of scientists is used (e.g. mathematician (Q170790)), which gives much more results. This method is important for many properties: for instance, it is rarely adequate to ask for instance of (P31) of an exact item: all the subclasses should also be included (so, use wdt:P31/wdt:P279* rather than wdt:P31. − Pintoch (talk) 10:29, 22 April 2017 (UTC)

Geertivp (talk) 17:42, 19 September 2017 (UTC)

Stop creating duplicates[edit]

Please verify before creating an item that it doesn't already exist. If you need, use Petscan ("Wikidata, "Has all of these labels"). --Harmonia Amanda (talk) 11:06, 2 October 2017 (UTC)

Sorry, Amanda, could you please give a specific example? I normally check for existence before creating... Geertivp (talk) 14:59, 2 October 2017 (UTC)

Empty items[edit]

Hey Geertivp, there are empty items recently created by you: Q41360861, Q41360837, Q41360777, Q41360497, Q41360383, Q41360890. Can you please have a look what to do with them (expand, merge, or delete)? Thanks, MisterSynergy (talk) 07:55, 7 October 2017 (UTC)

I forgot to add a minimum "is an" statement. Sorry for that. Geertivp (talk) 17:04, 20 December 2018 (UTC)

Cordialement. Lykos (talk) 15:08, 11 March 2019 (UTC)

Merci pour m'informer... Geertivp (talk) 19:33, 11 March 2019 (UTC)

Hello! These items (Q59416712 and Q21009616) looks to be the same. Should we merge them? --Ksc~ruwiki (talk) 20:59, 25 March 2019 (UTC)

Please keep separate, because it are 2 different prizes honored by the Flemish Government. "Groot" = Great/Extraordinary. The other is the "ordinary" one... Geertivp (talk) 21:55, 25 March 2019 (UTC)
Thank You very much. I added different from (P1889) for each of the item for such users like me.))) --Ksc~ruwiki (talk) 19:56, 26 March 2019 (UTC)
