Abraham Werner

[edit]

I need your help ;^)

https://viaf.org/en/processed/PLWABN%7C9810548187005606 describes a person living in israel who wrote that book "Ocalenie z innego miejsca" which according to this article is a translation from hebrew. I have created Abraham Werner (Q137825897) for this person.

The same VIAF:40149233521076511268 holds an LC-Auth I found "Ordeal and Deliverance" mentiones in [1] with an email address …@post.tau.ac.il which seems to be a university in israel. I created Abraham Werner (Q130304081). Again a book written in hebrew with the original title "Revach Vehazala Mimakom Acher" which matches the source in https://www.nli.org.il/en/authorities/987007269731205171 so I assigned this too. When I look at tau.ac.il (from the mail address) there is an english version, but I do not find anything (useful) when I search for "Abraham Werner" or "Avraham Werner", maybe you have more luck with the hebrew version of the page.

Maybe the PLWABN/NUKAT-person and the LC-Auth/J9U-person are the same? --Wurgl (talk) 09:23, 20 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

@Wurgl,
In VIAF: this book רוח והצלה ממקום אחר (translation: relief and salvation from another place) and Rewach Wehacala Mimakom Acher and Reṿaḥ ṿe-hatsalah mi-maḳom aḥer, 1999 are the same book. so seems that the J9U and PLWABN are connected. So also the LC and NUKAT.
The book Ordeal and Deliverance is (according to the link you mentioned) is also the same book which originally written in Hebrew.
I'm just wondering about occupation (P106). The J9U says Dr. Avraham Ṿerner; physicist. Maybe they meant physician, Because the work לומינסצנציה של סטרואידים = Luminescence of steroids issue published in Ramat Gan. The same place where "רוח והצלה ממקום אחר" published.
The GND work are about another person.
also the work - Funktionen von Modalität written by another Werner Abraham (Q112422475): linguist (1936-). hope it's helps. Geagea (talk) 19:47, 24 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
BTW. https://www.tau.ac.il/ is Tel Aviv University site. Geagea (talk) 19:51, 24 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
Thanks! I merged PLWSB/NUKAT with LC-Auth/j9U. I know that GND is another person. If physician or physicist … no idea I found a similar work: DOI:10.1111/j.1751-1097.1974.tb06582.x which leads to biochemistry, but this is just guessing.
So now I have to wait, hopefully VIAF will split this cluster. --Wurgl (talk) 08:54, 25 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
