Temporal range[edit]

Would love to hear your opinion on these two properties: Wikidata:Property_proposal/Term#Temporal_range_start, Wikidata:Property_proposal/Term#Temporal_range_end --Tobias1984 (talk) 12:27, 12 May 2013 (UTC)

IUCN taxon ID (P627)[edit]

The property IUCN taxon ID (P627) that you supported is available now. --Tobias1984 (talk) 18:19, 12 June 2013 (UTC)

Thanks :) Eran (talk) 22:31, 12 June 2013 (UTC)
You're welcome. --Tobias1984 (talk) 22:34, 12 June 2013 (UTC)

I fixed all selflinks at Byrial list regarding taxonomoc properties. Exeptions as this are not reasonable. Please adapt your template to the rules of wikidata. --Succu (talk) 09:32, 7 August 2013 (UTC)

I don't think that selflinks are problem. It could be considered as a problem if it was used instead of claim because of deprecated technical reason (once there was no option for adding claims). However when there is a good rational for selflinks, as in the case of taxonomic ranks (using the same set of properties to declare both the above ranks and the specific rank) why not? Eran (talk) 18:18, 7 August 2013 (UTC)
There isn't. A combination of taxon name (P225) and taxon rank (P105) should solve your template problem. --Succu (talk) 19:49, 7 August 2013 (UTC)
  • taxon name (P225) isn't relevant here
  • I don't think there is a problem with redundancy of taxon rank (P105) and selflink. taxonomic level is a claim about the taxonomic level of this entry (e.g species/genus etc) while self linking the entity with genus says the same but in the context of a taxonomic tree defined by the properties no label (P75),no label (P76),no label (P77)... It is much simple to use only this closed set of properties (p75,p76,p77...) and not combination of other properties. Eran (talk) 21:44, 7 August 2013 (UTC)

native label (P1705)[edit]

native label (P1705) is ready. --Tobias1984 (talk) 15:53, 19 January 2015 (UTC)

Instance of racist for Donald Trump[edit]

that statement isn't my opinion or a personal interpretation. In the relative discussion on the talk page I've given a proof of the fact that "instance of racist" comes as a consequence of the definitions of the wiki. I'd like you to reply to that discussion before reverting the edit. --Ogoorcs (talk) 10:18, 8 February 2017 (UTC)

File:Skull_and_crossbones.svg in WD:PFD[edit]

Skull and crossbones.svg

Can you please not to insert this file with more than 10px setting? Because even such terrible icon is necessary, it can break mobile view of leading words (e.g. in P134 discussion, the "P" of Pintoch is cutted by this icon). --Liuxinyu970226 (talk) 06:18, 8 March 2018 (UTC)

Liuxinyu970226: Solved differently with table setting+slightly smaller icon (Special:Diff/645621066). Eran (talk) 06:25, 8 March 2018 (UTC)

What is in wbc_entity_usage?[edit]

You are probably more experienced with wbc_entity_usage. If I run the query SELECT * FROM wbc_entity_usage WHERE eu_entity_id = "P2439"; on shwiki and fiwiki, no results are returned despite the existence of fi:Moduuli:Cs:Wikidata/lib and sh:Modul:Official website. Do you know why? And how were you able to find those modules? --Pasleim (talk) 13:02, 28 March 2018 (UTC)

Pasleim: running on all wikis with this query:
use enwiki_p; /*replace enwiki to any other wiki*/
    page_title, page_namespace
    from wbc_entity_usage
    inner join page on page_id=eu_page_id
    where eu_aspect='C.P2439' limit 1
Indicate the following pages are using this property - e.g there is at least one template that fetch it in those wikis.
Eran (talk) 22:23, 28 March 2018 (UTC)

Hey. Could you please check again with your tool if no label (P2439) is still in use in some Wikipedias? I think this edit removed the last use of no label (P2439). --Pasleim (talk) 14:12, 3 May 2018 (UTC)

Pasleim: I found only arwiki still using it (ar:ويكيبيديا:ويكي_بيانات/ملعب_ويكي_بيانات) but this may be cached from past and not really use. Eran (talk) 18:43, 4 May 2018 (UTC)
Thanks for your help. ar:ويكيبيديا:ويكي_بيانات/ملعب_ويكي_بيانات is calling ar:Module:Wd-pr which is simply iterating over all statements. So this case will automatically vanish when P2439 gets deleted. --Pasleim (talk) 21:17, 6 May 2018 (UTC)

WLM-IL monument in Rome[edit]

Hi, in what sense does Pontifical Biblical Institute (Q951184) belong to Wiki Loves Monuments Israel?[1] Did you perhaps mean some other object? The WLM-IT system assumes that monuments located in Italy can only participate in WLM-IT, not WLM of other countries. This is a reasonable expectation, isn't it? --Nemo 05:13, 29 August 2018 (UTC)

Nemo: the hewiki page connected to this entity (e.g he:המכון_האפיפיורי_למקרא) is mainly focused on the Jerusalem branch of the institute (if you are interested, google translate may be quite good here). Eran (talk) 17:49, 29 August 2018 (UTC)
Alright! Let's make it clear that the physical locations are not just in Rome then. This suffices for us: [2]. Check if it's fine for your usage as well. Thanks, Nemo 18:11, 29 August 2018 (UTC)
