General project plan

[edit]

Still no timelines other than have it all ready by WikiCite 2025.

Phase 1

[edit]

Preparing the ground

--> Start the FAQ for WikiCite on MetaWiki. Go through the docs in general, fix mistakes, gather the different links of interest.

--> Start organizing a timeline of events for a consistent narrative / for the citable summary of the split/WikiCite/Scholia and similar

--> Look for affected tools, improve Wikidata:SPARQL query service/WDQS graph split/Affected tools

  • Maybe some heuristic? Go through source code, look for API endpoints and queries that touch scientific articles?

Phase 2

[edit]

Query-rewriting

--> Start documenting the query rewriting and working with developers in the WikiCite ecosystem

Scholia-focused work

--> work on the narratives about the meeting docs about the hackathons and the Scholia user survey (alongside Lane)

Phase 3

--> Organize the storytelling on the Blazegraph replacements and alternatives

--> Organize documentation on what are the limits of WikiCite on Wikidata
