I am a 9-year editor with over 80,000 contributions as en:User:Sadads, and have used the last several years to focus on developing different forms of outreach. Currently, I am a project manager with the The Wikipedia Library, though I frequently try to spend time as volunteer supporting WP:Wikipedia Education Program, and am a supporter of GLAM-Wiki outreach. I have a Masters degree in English Literature from Kansas State University with research focused on cultural studies and the digital humanities. More recently, I worked as a digital humanist at K-State, where I developed en:Digital Humanities projects, creating partnerships with educators and cultural institutions.
In my role as GLAM-Wiki Strategist, I support the Global GLAM-Wiki community, which focuses on help cultural heritage organizations (principally Galleries, Libraries, Archives and Museums) share, create content, and otherwise engage with the Wikimedia communities projects. These relationships often use a wide variety of outreach strategies, and my job is help communities effectively use these strategies, the technologies needed for engaging the GLAMs are accessible, and ensure that the WMF is supporting those efforts. Feel free to reach out to me about work in this space, I would be happy to connect you with materials, people and tools for completing GLAM-Wiki projects.
I previously worked as part of the The Wikipedia Library a project first developed to give top Wikipedia editors access to reliable sources. We have partnered with JSTOR, Oxford University Press, Elsevier and over a dozen other publishers or platforms to advance our mission of sharing knowledge while exposing their collections of scholarly works. The Wikipedia Library also support new strategies for research support, including projects and outreach with University Libraries (placing research affiliates at Institutions as part of the Visiting Scholar's programs), partnerships with the larger research and libraries communities (such as IFLA, Association of Research Libraries, and others), and innovating in outreach strategies (for example, the 1lib1ref campaign).
