Template talk:SubType

@Emw, TomT0m, Pasleim, Succu, Jakec: - Any idea why this is called SubType and not SubClass or "Subclass of", the latter in agreement with the structure in Template:Composed of and Template:Part of? SubType also looks as if it would be a "subtemplate" of Template:Type, but the latter is for instances and not classes. Tamawashi (talk) 14:54, 12 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Tamawashi: I created the template. I guess I was inspired from computer sciences types like type theory (Q1056428)  View with Reasonator View with SQID . In those theory, roughly speaking, classes are almost a synonym for type. Then a subclass of some class is also a subtype of this classes. But we can absolutely alias this template {{SubclassOf}}.
