This template will not be visible on pages that are not protected. Only administrators can protect pages. Adding this template to a page does not protect it.

Usage

• Use {{protected}} for the normal template
• for applying a specific re specific expiration dat for just an icon at the top

for a specific expiration time periodTemplate:Protected}} to prevent the template to do anything if the full page name including namespace of the page using the template isn't equal to the value of the parameter. This can be used to avoid wrong categorization of translated pages.

Note that (UTC) will be added automatically.

Depending on the namespace, this template will categorize pages into Category:Wikidata protected pages, Category:Protected project pages, Category:Protected images, Category:Wikidata protected templates, Category:Protected talk pages and Category:Wikidata protected user and user talk pages. When the protection is expired, it will additionally categorize into [[:Category:Wikidatcorre
