Subclass of film[edit]
@Escudero: Hi, I think this diff can be discuted : https://www.wikidata.org/w/index.php?title=Q581714&diff=292784739&oldid=285124370 A series of film is a film itself. A composite one, but still a film. Just as a chapter of a DVD is a film, by definition, isn't it ? author TomT0m / talk page 13:38, 17 January 2016 (UTC)
- @TomT0m: Hi, TomT0m. You're right, I was confusing film (Q11424) (simply images in motion, of which animated film (Q202866) is a subclass) with the specific term feature film (Q24869). I'm sorry, and thank you for your comment and help! :) --Escudero (talk) 14:33, 17 January 2016 (UTC)
Subclass of animation (Q11425)?[edit]
@Ezzex:: in this diff: https://www.wikidata.org/w/index.php?title=Q581714&type=revision&diff=1510756029&oldid=1435434056 the subclass of animation is probably not correct. Q11425 is "a method of creating moving pictures", which sounds more like an occupation.
I believe this (Q581714) should be a subclass of animated film (Q202866) instead, if any. TorbenRahbekKoch (talk) 08:51, 14 August 2022 (UTC)
animated film or TV series[edit]
@User:Infovarius An animated series doesn't have to be a TV series or film series. It can be a web series or direct-to-video series as well. StarTrekker (talk) 20:41, 26 August 2023 (UTC)
- I slightly changed "animated film or TV series" (which didn't quite fit in the hierarchy) into a broader and more general meta - "series of animated works". And by animated series I assume we mean series in episodic form. Thus the hierarchy remains mostly the same. Solidest (talk) 16:39, 9 October 2023 (UTC)
