Regrets[edit]
@Einar Myre: I am afraid I am starting to regret some of the things I have done here. When I look into the report from SSB, it becomes obvious that Sirdal existed 1849-1905, and then again from 1960-. (Tonstad inherited kommunkod 1046 between 1905-1960.) In such cases it becomes obvious to me that this kommune needs two separate items. You cannot have two dates of foundation. That imply doubt about the foundation, not that the place has existed twice. And to have an abolished date:1905 and still claim it exists, does not look good at all. - Hmmm, when I look closer to what SNL says: "Kommunen ble opprettet 1849 ved utskilling fra Bakke; da som Siredalen kommune." Technically, Sirdal and Siredalen is the same "thing". But since we have identified them with two different spellings, it seems even more legitimate to give them two different items.
