I found an image of such a birth certificate on Twitter, but not a single reputable source explaining the story behind this. Enwiki does not mention it, nor do any of the articles about her identity such as this.
If true, it seems like a birth certificate that is later officially amended would result in a change of name, and not in deprecation of the name. The name also seems to derive from an Indian caste concept and may have cultural significance beyond just a string of letters.
I have no doubts with regards to Jura's good intentions here, and this is probably correct. But these issues, in combination with the attention this is currently getting (see article above), and the minor problem that both amendment (Q1269627) as well as section, verse, paragraph, or clause (P958) are somewhat ill-fitting, make me want to play it safe here. – The preceding unsigned comment was added by [[User:|?]] ([[User talk:|talk]] • contribs).
- I haven't seen any claims that the certificate is made up. The certificate has two pages: the second page shows the middle name. Whether that is a name change in California or not, I don't really know.
- As I added the same reference to multiple claims, should they all be changed?
- To avoid that it get's re-added and re-deleted, please restore it and set the appropriate ranks, You can add possibly invalid entry requiring further references (Q35779580) as reason for deprecation. The newer image is not the Official VP portrait[edit]
