Change of ID

[edit]

Notified participants of WikiProject Authority control It seems that, at least from 2021 (cf. https://viaf.org/en/viaf/251043944), BNL has started passing from the present 9-digits ID to a new 16-digits ID; the new ID, as the old one, is available only in VIAF, and it contains the equivalence with the old ID in the field 010 (cf. https://viaf.org/en/processed/BNL%7C9822342494507251); however, given that presently VIAF dumps are unavailable since August 2024 (cf. https://viaf.org/en/viaf/data), the conversion might be not easy. Anyway, the old ID having fewer than 300 uses, I tend to think this property could be readapted (or deleted, if we create a new one). Opinions welcome. --Epìdosis 09:31, 26 April 2025 (UTC)Reply
