another constraint needed[edit]

@Jonathan Groß: Would you mind looking at Wikidata:Database_reports/Constraint_violations/P3919 and Dictionary of National Biography (Q1210343) to work out where we need to add something so the DNB falls within the class somewhere, somehow. I have done a tidy up of the clear constraints, though it seems that I didn't pick high enough in the publication tree to get the broadest scope for contribution. [I so wish you could see this hierarchically rather than grope up the tree one link at a time.] Thanks for your help.  — billinghurst sDrewth 07:17, 29 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

wondering whether it needs to be something like literary genre (Q223393) 07:28, 29 May 2017 (UTC)
@billinghurst: Maybe this does the trick? Jonathan Groß (talk) 10:51, 30 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Something did the trick for the last run for DNB and the other sources that were showing on the constraints report. I am going to keep out of the tangle over which is the best fix, here I just edit, not get caught up in the administrative burden, nor in the deep technical detail. I get enough of that elsewhere.  — billinghurst sDrewth 22:43, 30 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Added class catalogue (Q2352616) as constraint[edit]

Someone has utilised the property to indicate that someone contributed to astronomical catalog (Q605175) which seems reasonable. Accordingly I have added the parent subclass as a constraint.  — billinghurst sDrewth 13:42, 18 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Added class publication (Q732577) as constraint[edit]

Pretty much as above there has been some configuration of classes and book/edition/+++ dropped out, so adding publication resolves this issue.  — billinghurst sDrewth 11:04, 13 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Added acceptable qualifiers[edit]

one was being used and it seems reasonable to identify a sequence if necessary.  — billinghurst sDrewth 13:57, 11 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I added subject named as (P1810), since object named as (P1932) was already accepted. --Azertus (talk) 23:18, 15 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Creative Work[edit]

Changed property description from published work to creative work per this discussion. T0mpr1c3 (talk) 16:35, 17 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Add "written work" as valid subject[edit]

Does anyone object to adding written work (Q47461344) and its subclasses as a valid subject, to cover reference works, scholarly works, etc. - PKM (talk) 21:47, 3 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
