Questions

[edit]

@Kolja21, E.coli, T.seppelt: Hi. I don't understand this property. Albert Einstein (Q937) has NSK Id 000012537 but the three works listed on http://katalog.nsk.hr/F/?func=find-acc&acc_sequence=000012537 were wether written by Einstein nor is Einstein mentioned in these works. Similar Bob Marley (Q409) with Id 000062794. The work on [1] is not related to Bob Marley. And there are many more cases like this. Is the URL formatter wrong or do I oversee something? --Pasleim (talk) 11:22, 18 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

@Pasleim: You're right. The formatter URL katalog.nsk.hr/F/?func=find-acc&acc_sequence=$1 (added March 27) was wrong. As fare as I know there is no stable link. --Kolja21 (talk) 11:38, 18 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Data cleaning

[edit]

Today afternoon (in this range of edits) I started to clean constraint violations of this property; I noticed on many items about diseases IDs added in early 2015 by @E.coli: which seemed completely wrong and I removed all the ones that I found (e.g.); I have also removed a few badly matched IDs to solve unique-value constraint violations and I have found that some cases of single-value constraint violations had already been solved because one of the two IDs had been deleted, so I removed a few deleted ones. I have also sent some mistake reports (mainly reports of duplications, found through https://w.wiki/Dou7) to iks@nsk.hr. --Epìdosis 17:15, 14 April 2025 (UTC)Reply

With a few emails of mistake reports exchanged with iks@nsk.hr, all the single-value constraint violations have now been solved. Epìdosis 20:21, 23 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

New Alma IDs

[edit]

In November 2025 (cf. https://nsk.hr/en/news/availability-of-nsk-collections-and-services-during-its-transition-to-alma-library-services-platform-and-primo-ve-discovery-service-8-12-november-2025/) the National and University Library in Zagreb (NSK) transitioned from Aleph to Alma; the 9-digit IDs presently used in Wikidata in nearly 50k items are still present in VIAF, but don't resolve anymore into the catalogue, so I changed the formatter URL pointing to VIAF. In the new catalogue the authority file has been unavailable for a few weeks, but now is searchable through https://bukinet-mreza.primo.exlibrisgroup.com/discovery/authsearch?vid=385BUKINET_NETWORK:VU1_UNION. Alma assigned to the authority records new 18-digit IDs, e.g. Marko Marulić (Q336571) was "000003507" (https://katalog.nsk.hr/F/?func=direct&local_base=nsk10&doc_number=000003507) and now is "981005657167209366" (https://bukinet-mreza.primo.exlibrisgroup.com/permalink/385BUKINET_NETWORK/1bsg47i/981005657167209366); checking the MARC21 (https://bukinet-mreza.primo.exlibrisgroup.com/discovery/sourceRecord?vid=385BUKINET_NETWORK:VU1_UNION&docId=981005657167209366&recordOwner=authsearch) I still see the old ID in the 035 field. So the question now is: does NSK consider as stable IDs the old (Aleph) 9-digit ones or the new (Alma) 18-digit ones?

  • if the answer is the 9-digit ones, then NSK should implement a redirect resolving the old IDs into the new IDs and we can link to it
  • if the answer is the 18-digit ones, then we can propose a new property and NSK should give us a list of correspondences so that we can massively add the new IDs besides the old ones

As of now, I would just wait news from NSK.
