How does the ID for linked data get appended with this? For instance, 蕭軍, http://catld.ncl.edu.tw/authority/AC000000200. Thank you.

Please use CYT/CCS (P10307), NCL ID (P1048) is not the CYT component of Virtual International Authority File (Q54919). Kethyga (talk) 12:53, 31 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Change of NCL IDs

[edit]
Moved from User talk:Sd5605

Hi Sd5605, the NCL IDs seems to have changed. Do you know more about it? And wouldn't it be better to move the IDs instead of deleting them? NCL 000623250 (added in 2013) now "Hergenhan, Laurie" = Laurie Hergenhan (Q6501606): Australian literary critic? --Kolja21 (talk) 02:25, 3 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

I assume the acc_sequence parameter was changed once between 2014 and 2015, but has remained stable since 2015, as Wu Cheng'en (Q228889) is not 000190369 described in your proposal, but in most cases it's a different issue that followed.
The old Template:Authority control (Q3907614) has two parameters, NCL and NCL_URL (Special:Diff/115338081). The NCL is the "系統號" displayed on the web page to identify an authority file internally, while the NCL_URL is the acc_sequence parameter in the URL address, which is a kind of identifier used by Aleph (Q294385) for heading strings, such as the "權威標目" (Authorized Heading) or "不用款目" (See From Tracing), rather than for an authority file.
After the approval of NCL ID (P1048), I believe its definition soon drifted to NCL_URL rather than NCL in the early years (179252538, 206013468, 246886373) in order to take advantage of the feature of formatter URL (P1630), and the definition has already been explicitly clarified in the zh and zh-hant descriptions of NCL ID (P1048) (1142425663, 1604848445). However, probably because both are 9-digit identifiers, many manual contributors have been mistaken for years.
I'm going to inspect all of the current ~2k statements soon, and I do not prefer moving these statements to other items, as they resulted from a misinterpretation and sometimes include malfunctioning references, such as those made by 197.133.65.21. Sd5605 (talk) 03:29, 3 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
