Discussion

Change datatype to external-id

Currently, this property has datatype string, which is bad for several reasons, including:

• In the Wikidata interface, statements of this property are not sorted into the Identifiers section below other statements.
• When formatting statements of this property using Lua functions, the values are not linked using the formatter URL (P1630).

The reason the datatype wasn't changed in 2016 was stated as "2 duplicates out of 99 uses". Please reply with  Support if you support changing the datatype to external-id. LennardHofmann (talk) 14:22, 7 September 2022 (UTC)

•  Support, added single-value constraint, six items have at least one violation, the first I reviewed seems to be due to a misplacement, since the scans seem to be made from different publications. GeoGQL (talk) 23:20, 1 April 2023 (UTC)
