NUKAT identifiers[edit]

Hello! I've seen all your suggestions and even started thread about it in our technical forum. I looked around in the net about the NUKAT identifiers and found document describing its format. However, the NUKAT interface allows only to search the data in its database using titles or author names. There is no interface to access specific records of data using the identifiers. The identifiers are used internally only to export the data in Machine-Readable Cataloging (Q722609) format. There is an information in the NUKAT that they admit to cooperate with VIAF and OCLC. Until the NUKAT do not provide some interfaces to retrieve, validate or verify the identifiers defining the property to hold it is useless.

Technically the identifier format used since 2002 is l@yyyynnnnnn. Records assigned earlier have format l@@yynnnnnn. The l is letter (n, t, s, x, p or m), the @ is a space, yyyy is four digits year, yy last two digits of year and nnnnnn is a sequential number in the year, when the identifier was assigned. The specification is found here at page with number 16 (12th in PDF), and sorry it is in Polish only.

Wenn du solche Nummern überprüfst, erhälst du das Ergebnis: 404 NOT FOUND. --Kolja21 (talk) 03:04, 18 October 2013 (UTC)

Das ist ein Fehler in Magnus tool. Mögliche Fehlerquellen:
Magnus unterstützt keine Nummer mit Format MINUS+Zeichen (Zahl oer X) wie http://d-nb.info/gnd/2022016-9/about/html 2022016-9.
Sie gehört zu VIAF ID: 140196814 (Corporate).
Eventuell gibt es eine DNB interne Weiterleitung. Ich nehme an, daß das tool History of VIAF ID:140196814 (18) scannt und dort DNB|004797086 findet. Stimmt. Das ist die von Dir genannte Nummer.
Gruß לערי ריינהארט (talk) 03:18, 18 October 2013 (UTC)
--Kolja21 (talk) 03:43, 18 October 2013 (UTC)

Re: family name (P734) and given name (P735)[edit]

wgArticleId:16714844#ArchiveWikidataDiskutejo
Hi! I start with the easier question. As you noticed, Hungarian names start with surnames and end with given names but we do not apply this to foreign names except in a very few cases. In the case of Bernhard Alexander (Q533605) (hu: Alexander Bernát) case Alexander is the surname and Bernát is the given one. When Hungarian names appear in English texts, the order usually changes (but not always). Therefore, when you meet a Hungarian name, it will start with the surname in the name of the Hungarian article but end with it in the name of articles in most other languages. – Matthew Beta (talk) 12:42, 9 November 2013 (UTC)

I moved the Romanian project chat to the name you suggested, and added it to the language template. As for archiving you should check this: User:Hazard-Bot/Archiving. Unfortunately, I don't know the Esperanto terms but something like this should be added after the header:

{{Archiving|Arkivo}}
{{User:Hazard-Bot/Archiver
|archiveheader = {{Archive}}
|algo = old(10d)
|archive = Wikidata:Diskutejo/Arkivo/%(year)d/%(month)02d
}}

BIBSYS ID (P1015)[edit]

Hi, I didn't create that property, maybe you should ask Stryn to archive it.--Micru (talk) 16:02, 9 November 2013 (UTC)

I added it to wrong archive yesterday (because of old link in step 3 here: Wikidata:Property creators). Now it's on the 15th archive page. --Stryn (talk) 17:02, 9 November 2013 (UTC)

WKP identifier[edit]

The conversation is still available on the proposal page, and it will be moved to the archive shortly. I have marked as "not done" because of lacking consensus. Actually the whole point of Wikidata is to use the Q numbers as the ID for Wikipedia articles. The wkp article name can change but the Wikidata identifier is stable and it will help any external organization to use that and to extract from the sitelinks the name of the article in the language they wish when needed.--Micru (talk) 11:37, 13 November 2013 (UTC)

Odd changes[edit]

Hi,

Please stop the changing names to use weird capitalization. Also, please stop adding aliases which provide no value. --Izno (talk) 00:11, 14 November 2013 (UTC)

@Izno The capitalization of family names / surnames is common practice in Esperanto. Would you require Hungarian contributors to use GIVEN_NAME SURNAME order? Would you require Japanese contributors the same? Would you require Russian contributors to use West European naming practice in the Russian fields?
Re: Esperanto conventions Maybe you have noticed that it happens that the first name is capitalized. It is common practice to keep the language order of the native cultural community. Is it a crime to use the Esperanto naming convention? How many articles in Esperanto have you checked?
Re: aliases From how many languages have you imported pages? I can not log off and on again for each page. I will try to use the language switch at the top of the Wikidata page near the user icon. This should make things (imports) easier. However it might happen that I can never find the pages again as cross language search is not implemented or not functioning / working.
לערי ריינהארט (talk) 00:30, 14 November 2013 (UTC)
I would expect names to look sensible. Fully capitalized does not. Nor does it make good sense from a database point of view—the capitals are style, and not content. We should work to preserve content without forcing style unnecessarily on end users.
I'm not sure how importing is relevant. As for a suitable alternative, you could consider filling in the title in the English language as the translation of the foreign language's title. --Izno (talk) 01:15, 14 November 2013 (UTC)

I think that preserving traditional costumns makes sense. Else we could use lowercase letters anywhere, in all languages and in all fields.
regarding aliases: I tried to link from ro.Wikipedia to Wikidata with Romanian interface using [[<nowiki>special:ItemByTitle/rowiki/'''foo'''<nowiki>]] syntax.
Now I have big problems because I do neither know the exact spelling for the generic properties not the exact spelling of the allowed values.
I assume that you know that

  1. search is buggy / fails if non basic Latin UTF-8 characters are involved; see https://www.wikidata.org/?curid=16714844#disambiguation
  2. https://www.wikidata.org/w/index.php?title=Special:NewItem&site=rowiki&page=foo_nonexisting_page_at_wikidata_bar does not include a field for the alias. If you do not want to work with random Q007, Q1984 etc. it is helpful to have an alias (in English / your main language of editing). So in order to create a page you need to specify either an English label or an English description. You have run in a deadlock situation. As soon as the page is created you may insert a lot of information in Wikidata and the proper translation and description can be done by contributors having a more advanced level of English.

Do you have a better alternative then doing nothing and waiting for translators wich may arrive next day, next week, next month, next year or when the world gets peaceful. Regards לערי ריינהארט (talk) 02:43, 14 November 2013 (UTC)

Visibly he continues adding these weird capitalizations (that are also not a common practice in Esperanto, but an editorial style practice used in some areas where Esperanto language (among other languages) is used.
I definitely support the revertss of these capitalized names, notably because this is not needed in Wikidata that already makes the necessary semantc distinctions between surnames/family names and given name/first name. Such capitalization may be added contextually by styling in relevant articles or texts where such distinction is not visible, but definitely not everywhere.
Also there are string semantic differences in prople names depending on capitalization, even in Esperanto ! Esperanto is an international language and needs to protect the convention used by peopl in their own country (even for people that also speak Esperanto as a secondary language, they want their orthography to be preserved as much as possible);
Only transcrptions to other scripts may need to adapt and loose some distinctions (for example when converting from Latin-script to unpointed modern Hebrew, Chinese or Korean) or add some phonetic distinctions (for example from unpointed Hebrew to Latin, by inserting vowels).
But within the same script, the original capitalization must be preserved, even if a language replaces some base letters absent from its alphabet to another letter (such as changing 'ɔ/Ɔ' into 'o/O') or is removing some diacritics specific to the original language (e.g. removing a combining caron or ring above Latin letters in a French translitteration, as this is effectively a common practice in that language that does not know how to read and write these diacritics).
Each language (in their regional variant) will then use it's own common ordering betwen surnames and given name, also according to specific conventions for each document: this will solve the ambiguities that could be observed if the order or names varies; changing the capitalization is much more weird and irrespectuous than swapping names. Verdy p (talk) 10:46, 8 December 2013 (UTC)

@Izno, @Verdy_p, Please see also #CAPITALIZATION. Regards לערי ריינהארט (talk) 09:03, 25 April 2014 (UTC)

NSZL ID (P951) and the gadget you asked about[edit]

wgArticleId:16714844#linkificationNSZL

a) I looked for how to add links to the NSZL IDs but I found them nowhere on NSZL's webpage or catalouges or on any other website other than VIAF. VIAF, however, does link authority files of NSZL but with completely different IDs. (An example: for Julio Baghy (Q12773) VIAF suggests 000000000058 as the NSZL ID but its link brings you to http://nektar.oszk.hu/auth/123387 with a different ID (123387). The best thing may be to write to NSZL at inform@oszk.hu and ask them about it.

Could you or a colleague from the Hungarian WMF chapter ask please?

b) You also asked if there are other popular library catalouges in Hungary. There is MOKKA (Hungarian National Common Catalouge) but I didn't manage to find author IDs there either, although, there must be some.

I have 19,000++ books in my main catalog at http://www.librarything.com/profile/gangleri . I am using / used various accounts to thest the GUI translation . see the friend list at http://www.librarything.com/profile/gangleri-hu .
At the main account I may hace ~ 200,000 tags. http://www.librarything.com/tagcloud/gangleri is an extract only. Some years ago I used to add links at pages tagged using Tag: ↑mokka.hu . I have seen that these links are outdated example [1]) The links where to books / editions / shelf links.

BTW: There is a hu. subdomain http://hu.librarything.com/ . The site requires cookies or log in. Click twice on any subdomain link encountered first time to see the content in another / that language.

c) The other thing you are looking for is: Wikidata:Tools#Display Wikidata Info on sister projects (Wikipedia, Wikivoyage, Commons, ...).

looking later; Thanks @Matthew_Beta for your help לערי ריינהארט (talk) 11:21, 14 November 2013 (UTC)

- Matthew Beta (talk) 10:34, 14 November 2013 (UTC)

I also started a discussion on a) and b) at huwiki (here) with the folowwing findings:

a) 000000000058 is most probably an ID used within VIAF (to denote data in VIAF from NSZL) and the only way to linkify is http://viaf.org/processed/NSZL%7C000000000058. However, all these pages include an other ID ("HuBpOSK") which are the IDs used in nektar (catalouge of NSZL) that can link to the NSZL site: http://nektar.oszk.hu/resource/auth/123387.
b) There is indeed some kind of ID in MOKKA, as well (here), but I need to check how to obtain these, and also the links you showed above.

Thanks @Matthew_Beta for your time. לערי ריינהארט (talk) 08:46, 15 November 2013 (UTC)

Regards לערי ריינהארט (talk) 19:46, 12 January 2014 (UTC)
I do not understand the idea of these items. Its comes from Library of Congress: [3]. Maybe its are needed to divide president as person and president`s administration as organization. Are you use some kind of tool to add IDs? I ask because today I find many similar errors of different users. — Ivan A. Krestinin (talk) 20:12, 12 January 2014 (UTC)
Dear Gymel; what suggestions you have on this topic. Please feel free to post the discussion to any appropriate place. Regards לערי ריינהארט (talk) 20:24, 12 January 2014 (UTC)
As far as I know LC NAF (because of subtleties in anglo-american cataloging rules) indeed differentiates between Person (Clinton, Bill, 1945-) and their Office (e.g. "United States. President (1993-2001 : Clinton)" and "Arkansas. Governor (1979-1981 : Clinton)". The latter is for "authorship" of all official documents emanating from the office, e.g. when some bill (act of law) was signed/approved, then this was not done by Bill Clinton, the person (or his vice-president or his signing automata or whoever was empowered to do so), but by Bill Clinton, the president. Or rather The President (Bill Clinton)... en:WP has an article en:Presidency of Bill Clinton which may closely correlate to the corporate LC and LAC authority records, therefore (but only in this special case) one should not associate the "President" authority number to the biographical wikidata item. However "Governorship of Arkansas" is integrated into the biography article even in en:WP thus I don't see any restrictions for using them: Main argument in the RfD for no label (P107) was IMHO that Wikidata does not follow "foreign" categorizations and that means that in general an VIAF "corporate" entity can be a legit match to a Wikidata "instance-of-human" item. Thus I'm not sure wether there is any place in wikidata to declare this usage for wrong (or right). Since the successor rules to AACR2, namely RDA, are currently implemented in several countries I expect these kind of corporate records arising in several other authority files in the future, which means that the practical problem of battling these kinds of associations (if one intends to) would grow. -- Gymel (talk) 23:34, 12 January 2014 (UTC)
Thanks for the comments! לערי ריינהארט (talk) 14:15, 13 January 2014 (UTC)
Thanks for clarifying the situation. There are some practical thinks: 1. "corporate" IDs in "personal" items makes sanity checks more harder process. For example discussed item was found during checking items from list Wikidata:Database reports/Constraint violations/P244#"Single value" violations. 2. Bots and other data clients can use this information too. Not uniform information will produce errors and unexpected situations. 3. Module:Authority control (Q11640331) shows only one ID ether then multiple claims present. So, please lets avoid adding IDs of another types to person. I think this makes Wikidata more cleaner and easy to use datasource. — Ivan A. Krestinin (talk) 21:16, 13 January 2014 (UTC)
Right. But as you see from your recent work on pseudonymous entries multiple values cannot be avoided all the time. And as LCCN, GND and other "real" authority files strive for uniqueness at least in the "regular" cases, and have editorial means to reach this, VIAF just has its algorithms and the speed of convergency is comparatively slow. Therefore multiple values for VIAF will be a permanent phenomenon and Wikidata is an interesting place to store additional glue for technically distinct but logically closely related VIAF clusters. In the long term I thing that the Lua Modules should recognize multiple values and do something meaningful with them. -- Gymel (talk) 21:44, 13 January 2014 (UTC)

Stop!!![edit]

Advices[edit]

  1. You can request a property creator flag at Wikidata:Requests_for_permissions/Other_rights#Property_creator. However, property creators should not create new properties unless consensus exists -- that is probably 75%+ support. You should wait at least 10 days before creating and shouldn't create properties proposed by yourself (other property creators will do that).
  2. Try to request item merging by checking unlinked pages (articles and categories) in eo/yi/ps/tnwp. You can merge two items using MediaWiki:Gadget-Merge.js and request deletion using MediaWiki:Gadget-RequestDeletion.js. Enable them in your preferences.
  3. Try to rollback some unneeded edits. Here are places you can find unneeded edits. Also go to Wikidata:Requests_for_permissions/Other_rights to request a rollbacker flag, but you should rollback something before requesting it.
  4. Wikidata:Requests for comment is only used after a long discussion via the other channels. If you want to, for example, ask a question, please use Wikidata:Project chat instead.

Armenisches Esperanto?[edit]

--Kolja21 (talk) 19:41, 5 March 2014 (UTC)

Some feedback on your talkpage message[edit]

Hi לערי ריינהארט,
I understand your intentions are good. However, please let me explain the experience this message gave me. I got an email, telling me that <some not understandable string of characters> left me a message on Wikidata. I never heard of this person before (and if I did, I probably wouldn't recognize the name), and I haven't been active for a while on Wikidata, so it must be important! Then I get here, and all I see is a very short message that looks like a generic '+1 welcome'. Then reading it more closely, it is telling me to 'identify some appropriate tools' and add a 'babel template'. However, you don't tell me why I would want that (what's in it for me?) or even make a suggestion what templates I might want to add or which tools I could identify (the latter I still don't know). Finally, you could read in your message that I must do these two things to keep using Wikidata. I'm still not sure if that is what you intended or not.
Anyway, again I understand your intentions are good. I just hope you can use this feedback to rephrase your message. Maybe you could even create different character accounts and use the most understandable one based on people's expected character sets (i.e. based on their own username). It might make the experience already much more comfortable - not that I have anything against Hebrew, but for me it's just yibberdiyab and I can't pronounce who's talking to me. A bit more explanation in your message might also be helpful. Not just links, but actual explanation why I would want this. Keep up the undoubtfully good work! (I also posted this on my own talkpage) Effeietsanders . Regards (talk) 17:56, 13 March 2014 (UTC)

Dewey Decimal Classification (P1036) STOP![edit]

All your introductions of DDC Dewey Decimal Classification (P1036) are complete nonsense at least as far as the dozend or so edits are concerned which I have reviewed.

Formally any use of that property has to be accompanied by a qualifier stating the DDC edition used. But most important the property is not intended as a means of classifying Wikidata items but to express correspondences between similar concepts.

  • Wednesday (Q128) is an instance of "days" and therefore not to be identified with DDC 529.1 (Chronology -- days: no indication anyway w/r to days of weeks )
  • entrepreneur (Q131524) is an occupation and not to be identified with DDC 338.092 dedicated to individual or collective biographies of entrepreneurs
  • monarch (Q116) the same - such persons certainly have some relation to "political systems" as such, but nothing more.

Admittedly The Party Journalist (Q25555) is an example for a work where Dewey Decimal Classification (P1036) is used to replicate the classification done by some library for this item, but even from that it would be a huge step to start classifying any wikidata item.

Probably we'll need a bot request to revert the havoc you created since you detected Dewey Decimal Classification (P1036) as a new playing ground. -- Gymel (talk) 16:03, 16 April 2014 (UTC)

The German label for poetics (poetics (Q835023)) is Poetik which is found at GND ID (P227) 4046449-0 . There the values for Dewey Decimal Classification (P1036) are 801.93 and 808.1 .
The values you mention have been added according to the same logic. לערי ריינהארט (talk) 16:57, 16 April 2014 (UTC)
@Gymel Is a bot the « ULTIMA RATIO » of Wikidata quality management? לערי ריינהארט (talk) 17:03, 16 April 2014 (UTC)
You mean you have copied the numbers found in the GND display? "According to the same logic" would at least require to inspect the RDF display of the GND record 4046449-0. There is stated
<gndo:relatedDdcWithDegreeOfDeterminacy3 rdf:resource="http://d-nb.info/ddc/class/801.93"/> <gndo:relatedDdcWithDegreeOfDeterminacy2 rdf:resource="http://d-nb.info/ddc/class/808.1"/>
And the meaning of the predicates is explained at
"The connotation scope of the GND entity is identical or nearly identical to the connotation scope of a topic that is logically part of the class but is less extensive in scope than the concept represented by the class number."
"The connotation scope of the GND entity is identical or nearly identical to the connotation scope of a topic that approximates the whole of the assigned DDC class. According to DDC terms, topics that are nearly coextensive with the full meaning of a class or cover more than half of the content of the class approximate the whole of the DDC class."
I would propose to rely on GND usage of DDC classes for relative (P1038) only in cases of
"The connotation scope of the GND entity is identical to the connotation scope of the topic emphasized in the DDC class heading" -- Gymel (talk) 21:44, 16 April 2014 (UTC)
Thanks @Gymel for the feedback. The suggestion to prioritize values of class relatedDdcWithDegreeOfDeterminacy4 makes much sense. Unfortunatelly I do not have the tools to scan this information. Maybe it will be possible in the future to change all other values to "Deprecated rank". This should avoid that such values (other then Determinacy4) are reimported again.
I have seen that the values are not unique, one DDC value may apear at many WD items. In this case the most important WD item should have the highest available rank.
In order to see what value has been verified by a human I suggest that another person (not a bot) then the person adding the value should add the source "imported from GND" (or something similar).
Regards לערי ריינהארט (talk) 22:17, 16 April 2014 (UTC)
Since your additions are "intellectual" and based on the classification data contained in the GND records You should simply execute one additional click on "RDF/XML-Repräsentation dieses Datensatzes" on the right hand side of the regular GND display to access the data in the form quoted above. -- Gymel (talk) 23:22, 16 April 2014 (UTC)

Medical conditions of norse deities[edit]

Hi Gangleri, I agree with the necessity to denote central attributes especially for mythic figures where they are characterizing. You might try to assign medical condition (P1050) ("disease or physical ailment affecting an individual [human or animal]" - the extension to fictional characters would have to be discussed on the talk page I think) with blindness (Q10874) as given in the example on the talk page. @Gonioul : You are right. Now I have read the text at de:Paris#Städtepartnerschaften. Unfortunately this text is not computer readable and a dozen of the mentioned cities in many dozen of languages do not show the difference. This is not the only issue I encountered so far.
I was thinking about a future qualifier "false positive" to mark such situations. If we delete the relations now they might be added next day, next week, at any time.
There is no usable template for twin places. Neither at enwiki nor at other languages. The enwiki does not handle disambiguations and qualifier values.
I used en de, fr, hu, ru and some other languages so far. I did not verify "all" linked languages. Any error at any languages makes a mess. Regards gangLeri לערי ריינהארט (talk) 01:09, 24 June 2014 (UTC)

Hello. I'm a steward. A new policy regarding the removal of "advanced rights" (administrator, bureaucrat, etc.) was adopted by community consensus recently. According to this policy, the stewards are reviewing administrators' activity on wikis with no inactivity policy.

You meet the inactivity criteria (no edits and no log actions for 2 years) on yiwikisource, where you are an administraotr. Since yiwikisource does not have its own administrators' rights review process, the global one applies.

If you want to keep your rights, you should inform the community of the wiki about the fact that the stewards have sent you this information about your inactivity. If the community has a discussion about it and then wants you to keep your rights, please contact the stewards at m:Stewards' noticeboard, and link to the discussion of the local community, where they express their wish to continue to maintain the rights, and demonstrate a continued requirement to maintain these rights.

We stewards will evaluate the responses. If there is no response at all after approximately one month, we will proceed to remove your administrative rights. In cases of doubt, we will evaluate the responses and will refer a decision back to the local community for their comment and review. If you have any questions, please contact us on m:Stewards' noticeboard.

--Mineo (talk) 21:14, 20 July 2014 (UTC)

@Mineo Die Beziehung ist symmetrisch. Wikidata ist nicht die deutschsprachige Wikipedia. Ich suche grundätzlich in vielen sprechen vorwiegend en, fr, es, hu, he usw. Bist Du in skype erreichbar? לערי ריינהארט (talk) 21:31, 20 July 2014 (UTC)

@Mineo Zu [7] siehe Shiraz#Twin towns – sister cities. Bin gelehentlich auch im irc #wikipedia-de. לערי ריינהארט (talk) 21:54, 20 July 2014 (UTC)

Gruß aus München gangLeri לערי ריינהארט (talk) 12:36, 21 July 2014 (UTC)

Kannst du dann eventuell die entsprechende Wikipedia-Seite (imported from) verlinken? Dann könnte man die Fehler in den jeweiligen Wikipedias schneller finden bzw. zweifelhafte Fakten zumindest kennzeichnen. --Felix.Schwarz (talk) 13:59, 30 July 2014 (UTC)

@ Felix.Schwarz Zu Berlin gibt es folgende Einträge:http://tools.wmflabs.org/wikidata-todo/autolist.html?q=string[1036:"2--43155"] AND claim[190] . לערי ריינהארט (talk) 15:12, 30 July 2014 (UTC)

Dortmund[edit]

Hi לערי ריינהארט, on July 5th you have created the following property in the Wikidata article "Dortmund": "twin city: Criciúma". Please specify the sources you have in support of your claim or withdraw. The claim seems to be doubtful. Thank you for your support! Best wishes, --Tremonist (talk) 13:31, 1 August 2014 (UTC)

@Tremonist Does it require special intelligence to find es:Dortmund#Ciudades_hermanadas and to link properly to Criciúma (Q1439157) and Dortmund (Q1295)? לערי ריינהארט (talk) 16:30, 1 August 2014 (UTC)
Hi לערי ריינהארט, according to the Dortmund city administration, Criciúma is not a twin city. I thus had to remove the respective claims from Spanish-language Wikipedia and from Wikidata as well. It is unclear what caused the misunderstanding, but we are trying to find out. Best wishes, --Tremonist (talk) 12:53, 6 August 2014 (UTC)
Thanks @Tremonist for the investigation! "twin city" is a cross language / cross wiki relation. For some regions as South America, Latin America, Indonesia, Hungary etc. the only source are es, id, hu. Some examples about id "Kota kembar": id:Kota Ambon#Kota_kembar, id:Kota Bandar Lampung#Kota_Kembar, id:Kota Makassar#Kota_kembar, id:Kota Batam#Kota_kembar, id:Kota Bengkulu#Kota_kembar, id:Kota Surakarta#Kota_kembar. This is why the information needs to be cross checked by "local" wikipedians. Many statements need to be verified, corrected by adding qualifiers. There are "false positives" which might be added again and again. It happens that linking from various languages conflicts about Polish locations (some are using "Glmina" and some do not). gangLeri לערי ריינהארט (talk) 13:23, 6 August 2014 (UTC)

Your administrator and bureaucrat status on the Yiddish Wiktionary[edit]

Hello. A policy regarding the removal of "advanced rights" (administrator, bureaucrat, etc.) was adopted by community consensus in 2013. According to this policy, the stewards are reviewing activity on wikis with no inactivity policy.

You meet the inactivity criteria (no edits and no log actions for 2 years) on the wiki listed above. Since that wiki does not have its own rights review process, the global one applies.

If you want to keep your rights, you should inform the community of the wiki about the fact that the stewards have sent you this information about your inactivity. If the community has a discussion about it and then wants you to keep your rights, please contact the stewards at m:Stewards' noticeboard, and link to the discussion of the local community, where they express their wish to continue to maintain the rights.

If you wish to resign your rights, you can reply here or request removal of your rights on Meta.

If there is no response at all after approximately one month, stewards will proceed to remove your administrator and/or bureaucrat rights. In ambiguous cases, stewards will evaluate the responses and will refer a decision back to the local community for their comment and review. If you have any questions, please contact the stewards. Dewey table notation[edit]

Hi, as a librarian I find it great to see the addition of Dewey Decimal Classification (P1036). But I'm a bit puzzled about this notation. Table numbers are normally express using an inital "T", like so: "T2--4833". This is the case in the authoritative WebDewey, which unfortunately isn't open, but you can see the same notation in e.g. GND. Btw. I'm also curious what sources you use for the numbers, and if you have a tool that simplifies the process of adding the numbers. Danmichaelo (talk) 16:13, 8 April 2015 (UTC)

Sorry, just noticed that dewey.info (whenever it's not down) uses the notation without initial "T", so I assume you have it from there? If you're aware of any Wikidata discussions on what notation to use, please let me know. I'll try to do some research myself also. Danmichaelo (talk) 16:18, 8 April 2015 (UTC)
... and then I found Property_talk:P1036#constraint_reports, sorry for not checking that discussion page first :) Danmichaelo (talk) 16:21, 8 April 2015 (UTC)
