Why have replaced more exact term with artificial physical object (Q15222213)? Note that artificial physical object (Q15222213) stands for material, physical object. This replacement is simply wrong as language is not physical object. Please restore previous properties. --Infovarius (talk) 21:12, 27 April 2014 (UTC)

@Infovarius: It was nominated for merger/deletion because they were both labelled "artificial object", i.e. a physical, created item. If you want to create a distinct item for non-physical items you should label it correctly and explain the difference with the descriptions. The term "object" implies something physical. Maybe you meant "artificial item"? James F. (talk) 14:25, 29 April 2014 (UTC)
I don't know about this subtle difference in meaning of english term, but in russian they were explicitly labeled as different. Please adjust english label, I am ok with "artificial item". Infovarius (talk) 19:35, 29 April 2014 (UTC)
@Infovarius: Hey, sorry I was away; seen that you've reversed this. Good move. :-) James F. (talk) 17:52, 10 May 2014 (UTC)

Merging items

Hallo Jdforrester,

For merging items, you may want to use the merge.js gadget from help page about merging. It has an option "Request deletion for extra items on RfD" to automatically place a request to delete the emptied page. This way of nominating makes it a lot easier for the admins to process the requests.

With regards,

I know; normally I just delete them directly, but Magnus's tool doesn't use the right format (and also doesn't check if I'm a sysop and just delete directly). Boo. James F. (talk) 16:18, 21 May 2014 (UTC)

It seems that you are doing wrong changes of sex or gender (P21). See [1] and many others. Thomas11 (talk) 07:26, 26 May 2014 (UTC)

@Thomas11: Hmm, very odd; my adding the data is via Magnus's tool, and I'm pretty sure I didn't see Reagan's name come up, let alone doing the wrong one. Beyond anything else, adding a sex statement to an item that already has one isn't something that it should do. For now, I will stop using the tool. James F. (talk) 07:31, 26 May 2014 (UTC)
Aha, found the problem - two jobs got mixed up. Running the tool in reverse to fix it. Thanks for the heads-up! James F. (talk) 07:37, 26 May 2014 (UTC)
