Merging items[edit]

For merging items, you can try the following tool: Merge.js gadget. It makes it much easier to do, and easier for the admins to check and follow up your nominations. Also: please keep the lower number and nominate the higher one. The gadget also has an option for that. -Cycn (talk) 17:13, 2 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, thanks.--Debenben (talk) 17:27, 2 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Babel[edit]

Babel lets you view and edit more than one language on Wikidata. Just add e.g. {{#babel:de-N|en-3|es-1|fr-2|nl-3|it-4|da-0}} to your user page. With the same language codes you can add links to your userpage on Wikipedia e.g. de:User:User123. --Tobias1984 (talk) 20:29, 19 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks a lot, I didn't know. Makes editing much easier--Debenben (talk) 20:58, 19 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Physikprojekt[edit]

Würde mich freuen wenn du dich beim Physikprojekt einschreibst (Wikidata:Physics task force#Participants). Du hast vielleicht auch Lust auf dieser Seite über den kommenden numerischen Datentyp mitzudiskutieren (Wikidata:Requests for comment/Dimensions and units for the quantity datatype). Vielen Dank für deine vielen Beiträge in letzter Zeit! --Tobias1984 (talk) 20:29, 19 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Danke für die Einladung. Ich werd mal vorbeischauen.--Debenben (talk) 20:58, 19 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

How to Merge[edit]

Hello, Debenben, and thank you for your deletion request.

However, it was an easy merge, and below I will explain a merge.

What is a merge[edit]

A merge is when you copy all of the information from the first item and send it to the second item, deleting anything that is conflicting, such as exact duplicates. Then, the first item is cleared, and made into a redirect (if doing automatically).

How to merge[edit]

  1. Use Special:MergeItems. Comes with the Wikidata (Wikibase) software, but will cancel if interwiki conflicts are found
  2. Use MediaWiki:Gadget-Merge.js. This is the preferred method of merging. Enable at your Preferences.
  3. Use the QuickStatements (Q20084080) tool, semi-automatically
  4. Do it manually.

Vektor[edit]

Warum ist ein Vektor keine Matrix [1]? Liegt es daran, dass er auch physikalisch interpretiert werden kann? Grüße Bigbossfarin (talk) 20:48, 15 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Grüße Bigbossfarin (talk) 10:47, 16 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

any replacement at transport (Q7590) 3 removed subclass of (P279) claims?[edit]

Especially for process (Q3249551) and temporal entity (Q26907166)

I think having no property is better than having a property that can be regarded as wrong. @Peter F. Patel-Schneider: Has there been any progress on the higher-level ontology? Is there a technical solution like property constraints that could help to prevent subclasses of abstract objects being added to physical objects? Do you have a suggestion for this?--Debenben (talk) 19:50, 25 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
⟨ transport (Q7590)  View with Reasonator View with SQID ⟩ instance of (P31) View with SQID ⟨ economy ⟩
is fine, but this doesn't mean we should remove
⟨ transport (Q7590)  View with Reasonator View with SQID ⟩ subclass of (P279) View with SQID ⟨ process ⟩
What about "movement of ..." in English WP? Wrong lead?
Things like London Underground are instances of a subclass of urban rail transit which is via some other properties subclass of (P279) transport (Q7590). If that is subclass of (P279) process (Q3249551) it is also subclass of (P279) change (Q1150070) inconstancy (Q5915039) property (Q937228) category of being (Q714737) concept (Q151885) and abstract entity (Q7184903) and things like London Underground are not an "object with no physical referents". It is of course a larger problem (see Discussion). Having
⟨ transport (Q7590)  View with Reasonator View with SQID ⟩ subclass of (P279) View with SQID ⟨ process ⟩
or not does not make much of a difference except maybe that the removal reminds people that something needs to be changed unless you want all subclass of relations to be completely unreliable and useless.--Debenben (talk) 13:30, 26 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
