Hi there. I'm &, and I'm an administrator here. I firmly believe that administrators serve at the leisure of the community, which means that whoever you are (unless you're a vandal or a troll), you can consider yourself my boss! Seriously. I work for you. ("Work" in a loose sense of the term, since we're all volunteers here, and I'm lazy as Hell.) If you take issue with any administrative decisions I make, please do notify me, and I will do everything I can to remedy the situation.
On the English Wikipedia, I am a reviewer and a rollbacker. I'm also a sysop on the Test Wikipedia, but that's mostly to keep me from breaking this wiki.
Blocking philosophy [edit]
It's come to my attention that I'm currently responsible for the majority of blocks imposed on accounts here. So, a word on the way I see things:
I give far more leeway to unregistered users than to logged-in ones. This is because IP addresses can change often, and because if someone takes the time to create an account, they've shown more of an active interest in disrupting the project. I usually give unregistered users warnings before blocking them; I usually don't with logged-in users. This has proven to be somewhat effective: I almost never have to block IP addresses, and I've never had a registered user appeal my block, so I don't think I'm taking away any valuable contributors to the project. The vast majority of the editors I block are here to do nothing other than vandalize and/or promote a company. Let me emphasize, though, that I am perfectly willing to unblock an editor if they give their word that they'll stop doing whatever I blocked them for. All they have to do is show an interest in contributing to the project positively.
Of course, none of this applies to bots: Like any admin, I reserve the right to block any bot that is malfunctioning and/or making too many edits without gaining approval.
