Español: Inscripción al reverso del soporte de la imagen: José Mora y del Río, Arzobispo de México. Inscripción en la guarda: COLONIALES. JOSE MORA DEL RIO. ARZOBISPO DE MEXICO. BIOGRAFIA: Nació en Pajacuarán, Mich., y muere en EUA (1854-1928). Sacerdote. Estudió en el Seminario Conciliar de Zamora y, en Roma, en el Colegio Pío Latinoamericano y en la Universidad Gregoriana. Fue Obispo de Tehuantepec (1893-1901), de Tulancingo (1902-07) y de León (1907-08), y arzobispo de México (1909-28). A fines de enero de 1926 anunció el inicio de movilizaciones contra la Constitución de 1917, a la que se había opuesto desde su promulgación; en los primeros días de febrero fue detenido y a fines de julio dispuso el cierre de los templos, con lo que se desencadenó el movimiento cristero. ver: Milenios de México, Autor: Humberto Mussachio, tomo 2, pág. 1951.
