Español: Este Ecce Homo procede del Convento de Capuchinos de la ciudad de Cádiz, al igual que todas las obras de Bartolomé Esteban Murillo que se conservan en el Museo de Cádiz, y se trata de una obra de antigua devoción y muy famosa en la ciudad, en la que queda de manifiesto la estrecha vinculación del pintor con sensibilidad religiosa popular. Y de esta obra se ha dicho que bien puede ser una copia antigua de un original de Murillo o bien que fue finalizada por algún aprendiz del maestro que trabajó en el convent de los Capuchinos junto a él.
